While a talented and intelligent man, he was not a good teacher. He would sit back, do nothing in terms of fueling a discussion, and then get angry when the class was not jumping out of their seats to discuss the reading.

His 231 English Ballads class was the most confusing and boring class I have ever taken. Beidler's teaching methods are very poor to say the least. He knows alot about the subject matter, but gets lost when trying to teach. Very unclear in what he expects from his students. Do not take this class.

Beidler is a very nice person and he will work with you if you seek his help. He can be intimidated by students sometimes and he is very, very unclear in what he asks of you. To take his class you must be a go getter!
