My class was in 1976/1977. (Anthropology 341) We really liked Paul as a professor and had fun in his class. I remember his teaching style. He his inspired students and we only had two or three papers and possibly a quiz. At the time, we didn't have online classes. He will be missed at Loyola.

He was a cool guy but not that helpful. Only three essays throughout the semester (one is the take-home final exam). He had some random pop-quizzes that are "agree or disagree" and they throw you off because you do not think they count because who gives "agree or disagree" quizzes. But he eventually counts them for participation. Not helpful

This man is insane. in a good way. my first day of class was one i will never forget. he is the definition of eccentric. i haven't done any of the reading, but go to class, and aced the first 2 papers the final is a take home and u learn some interesting stuff. if you try at all and show him that you paid attention and came to class you'll get an A

He is a weird guy and at times it's likable and other times I just wanted him to get on with the class and stop trying to be entertaining... If that's why he was acting silly? Really easy format. The final is a take home. There's no reason you should not be able to get an A.

Absolutely the lamest class I have taken at Loyola. Would not recommend if you're a science major and taking the class to fulfill core. Absolutely useless class and a waste of my time and money. Thanks Loyola, really...

He is a very sweet person, very knowledgeable about anthro but the class is super easy. He makes it interesting. He seems senile at first but then you realize he's just different. Would definitely recomment. Two papers and a final....EASY!!!

This class is extremely easy. Three papers and participation and thats it. This guy is crazy and was way too excited for the material. Good GPA booster or to fulfill required credit, but I would not suggest for an elective. Nice person though.

This dude is a crazy schmuck! Scatter brained and could ruin almost any text.....but hey, he is easy as all hell! You would better serve yourself buying the books and reading them on your own!

Breidenbach is a sweeeet professor!! He is such a hippie! He is an easy A. I got a B+ on the book review... without ever opening the book! And he is a big teddy bear! You just want to hug him! He is soooo nice!

Great professor and his class is very easy. Attendance is really important. In class participation was also crucial...so much so that students would say anything just for the participation points. Otherwise, the class was great.

VERY EASY! No tests, only 2 papers and the final, which were easy. Everything you need to know is from his lecture. I never opened the books, he does reference them occasionally. You grade yourself on participation, he does take attendance which he takes in to account in the participation grade. Overall, very easy class!

I was not interested in this class at all--had to take it for my major. It turned out to be a good class. Talks/rambles a lot, but he's got a lot of energy for his age. Only 3 papers (75% of grade) and 25% participation grade. Grades a little tough though. I got an A in the class, just put a little time into your papers

The class has 4 grades: attendance/participation, an essay on Desis in the House, an ethnography essay, and the final essay. All the essays are take home. The ethnography project is the haredst I would say, becuase you have to pick some group of people and study them and then write an essay. The final essay was easy, it was very general. gr8t clas!

funny guy and has so much energy for his age! if you have any interest you'll have an A. have to do the reading to get everything out of the class, but it isn't necessary to have a good grade. we watched some great videos. very entertaining professor
