Comment:

Prof. Bushman really is passionate about his work. Its been 5 years since I took his Environmental Science course, and I still recall stories related to the course today. Really made it fun to learn.

Comment:

Class is fast-paced, you move through phyla pretty quickly, so don't skip class if at all possible. Grading criteria is pretty lax on Lab Write-ups. Quizzes online are easy, Lab Quizzes are on dissections, and are easy if you study. He posts study guides for exams. DO THEM. They are long and tedious but can improve your grade by like 20%.

His lectures are long and sometimes very boring. They are all powerpoint but they hardly have words. So if you don't takes notes when he's talking your out of luck. His tests are pretty much off the lectures but there are weekly lab quizzes and online quizzes that. The online quizzes are open note. He does know what he is talking about thou.

Professor Bushmann took a topic that I hated in high school and made me love in college. Weekly quizzes are grade savers, same with labs. Taking him again next semester for Zoology. One of the best professors I've had so far.

Professor Bushmann is an excellent teacher. He is an excellent lecturer. He makes Zoology seem easy. My main problem was trying to remember the scientific names for the animals. I therefore received F's on all my tests but passed with a C because he is fair and give you lots of ways to make up for bad tests. I highly recommend taking his class

This Ecology class is super simple online! You have a module every week except the week you have exams. Exams are a little difficult and sometimes I wish he was a bit faster at grading but, it's an easy class and it's interesting. Professor Bushmann is really knowledgeable on the subjects. I'd recommend taking this class.

Prof. Bushmann was an awesome teacher! I had him for Bio lab and he explained the lecture concepts way way better in 30 min than my lecture prof did in an entire class. He's easy-going, helpful, and makes the labs fun and they go by fast. Highly recommend him for anyone taking a lab.

I had him for LAB! He is amazing! He teaches more in 45 min.than my terrible lecture teacher does in a 3 hour lecture! He knows how to explain things to help you understand & help it stick! Too bad he doesnt teach lecture anymore!TAKE HIM! The class will fly by & you have a quiz every class 10 questions, super easy & u can drop ur lowest quiz grade

WONDERFUL professor. Kept class interesting, VERY knowledgeable about what he is teaching and clearly passionate. He challenged the class to THINK which I loved. Quizzes and tests are very easy if you pay attention in lecture (which is not hard to do because it is so interesting) VERY FAIR teacher and a kind person.

He was an okay teacher, however, when the semester was almost over, I asked him for missing assignments; he stated that I was fine, but then he emailed me saying I had three labs missing. BE CAREFUL. He is not the most organized person.

Keen interest and care about what he is teaching. Definitely knows what he is teaching, and can answer most questions. Gives a bunch of little ways to keep a solid grade, but does have kind of hard exams. Fair grader, but struggles to keep the class focused for 3 hours. The Photographic Atlas recommended in the class helped me out a lot.
