GREATEST TEACHER EVER! Paul is the greatest teacher I could imagine. He is so kind, smart, helpful, and funny. His class teaches u so much in an enjoyable atmospehere. corky personality, but way cool. easy class. i did all the assignments, but i didnt put any effort and i still got a B. if you try just a little, im sure you can get an A. i took 3 hour once a week class, and we always got out early. if you are confused about anything just ask, he is really nice and can clear things up

i got a B in his class, which is the lowest writing grade i've ever gotten in my life lol. so i don't think he is easy because i tried REALLY HARD. he is laid back and nice. hot too! but when he tried to help he confused me for some reason while other writing ta's didnt. so ymmv

Paul is an amazing teacher! I absolutely loved being in his class, which is saying something because it's a writing class and I HATE writing. He is one of those rare finds who can actually make what you're learning fun and understandable. He also has a great sense of humor and is really laid back. I wish he could be my teacher for every class!

amazing teacher, definitely my favorite one at UCI. classes were not just him lecturing at us, they were real discussions. he was always aware of when he was talking for too long and tried to avoid boring us. learned a lot about writing from this course, seriously great guy, loved going to class.

Very helpful. Class basically student-led discussions for the last half, but provides insights and guidance. Very humorous. Grades based on effort, not overall outcome of poems. Try not to get behind on the final project, it takes awhile. Very helpful, willing to meet anytime he's on campus, not just office hours.
