Super Interesting class, he always made lectures interested and enjoyed joking around with students. There is a lot of reading and tests, however if you keep up with is you'll do great. He isn't afraid to put you on the spot of counter your opinion so make sure you know what you're saying! i really enjoyed this class and would take it again.

He's a really great professor. If you do the assignments he gives you (which are optional) you will have everything you need for the exams. Do the study guide he post before the test, it will help tremendously! He does not grade attendance, but sometimes it helps to go to class. He's super nice and knows what he's talking about.

Read everything and participate in class. The tests aren't hard, there are just a lot of them (almost every two weeks) but the final is non cumulative! Class is interesting if you participate.

Great guy. Super funny and gives awesome lectures. One of my favorite professors so far. A lot of people complain he is hard but thats just because they don't go to class. If you attend lectures and do the assigned homework you will do great on all the tests. The five tests are the only grades and no chance at all for extra credit

By far my favorite professor! Super funny guy, and once threw away his book in lecture to make a point. He keeps his lectures entertaining and really cares about his students. Pay attention and do the assignments and you'll do fine on the tests.

There are five tests and it was all multiple choices. As long as you study the study guide thoroughly, you will do well. Also if you have good participation rate, he will bump your grade if you are on the edge. Otherwise, no extra credit whatsoever.

This class is fun! Yes the tests are challenging but if you do the study guide then you will be fine! He is funny and keeps everything neutral in a class that can get out of hand fast. He engages the students in discussion. Read the book and you can pass.

Fairly difficult class, with hard tests and no homework to turn in but if you want to do well then you definitely want to read the book. Lectures are not required to go to and he often posts the notes online, but he is funny and makes the lectures fairly entertaining.

Read the assignments (and understand them), and you will do fine. If you TRY, you can definitely get an A. Trying = going to classes and reading all of the assignments. Grade based on 3 tests + class participation.

Very very difficult tests, in order to do well you need to almost have the books memorized. Great class atmosphere and a good lecturer, however he does require very specific stuff on the tests. Read the books show up to class take good notes and study like crazy and the class is doable. On the plus side class discussion is great.

Honestly I learned a lot from his class, but i still got a C. he really made me think, but the tests friggin suck. My friend got a 35% on the first test and dropped it. I know a lot about politics and this course was tough.

I liked Dr. Kinney.. he's a thoughtful guy and knows his subject very well. He cares very much about it and really loves to hear what everyone has to say. You need to read your book regularly.. and it won't hurt to be a fan of football. The tests are somewhat harder than the laid-back class discussion.

I am taking the Honors class. All of the assignments are out of the books & we hold discussions on the readings every class. It's easy -- take notes and participate and you'll be fine. Make sure to review for the tests -- they are essay tests so he expects you to know your stuff. Nice guy!
