Comment:

One of the worst classes I've taken, mainly because I hate science, but also because I was told this was blowoff class and got a B+. The internet is your best friend in this class and the only reason I didn't fail. I went to 3 classes the whole semester so it wasn't that bad, but just way too much homework. Also the "curve" was one single point.

Comment:

Professor Fitzgerald makes earth science very unenjoyable and it's very hard to learn from him. His lectures are extremely long and detailed, and he just reads from the board and expects us to know all of it. The HW is ridiculously long and is insanely difficult. The exams are online but the questions are so hard, but a very nice man and educated.

Comment:

Takes attendance, exams/final are online, and the online textbook is what the homework and exams/final are based off of. Recitation makes a HUGE impact on grade! Attendance is taken via Tophat. Lectures are boring, but he tries to make jokes. Tries. Didn't really pay attention to this class, good luck staying awake.

Comment:

For those who think this is rocks for jocks, it's not. Fitzgerald has completely changed the course to make it unecessarily difficult. The tests are brutal. The class average on test 1 was a 71 and test 2 was even harder (no multiple choice). This class at one point was easy, but not anymore. Do not take this class if you want a good GPA in college

He's a nice professor who tries to get the information across, however, he sometimes rambles on. His tests are easy, all multiple choice. This class doesn't require too much effort, just go to recitation and do the work and you should be fine. I recommend going to lecture because he tells you the answers to questions on the exams.

He is a really nice guy who ties to do well, he attempts to make jokes that don't really work and it makes things awkward =( He tends to ramble in lecture and its not really helpful. He gives out lecture outlines which is great, if you just show up to recitation you should be good but do go to lecture sometimes because it will help on tests.

Sooooo easy! Never use the book, all hw is online, easy recitation, tests are 50 mulitple choice questions, and he gives you lecture outlines. Class could not be easier...but it also really boring lol

Prof. Fitzgerald is a awesome teacher! He gives out chapter notes and review sheets for tests. His tests are very simple if you pay attention and know the information from the review sheet. His accent actually helped me focus durning his lectures!

He loves to make jokes but sometimes its hard to hear him especially if you sit in the back. Also it took time to understand his accent since he's from New Zealand. He gave out study guides for exams that gave all the answers. I didnt even have to open the book and got an A! Overall, boring class, good prof

The material is boring, but Professor Fitzgerald tries his best to make it interesting. He is quite the smart ass and loves sarcasm. You have to pay attention in class or he'll call you out. Overall a good professor that obviously cares about what he is teaching and tries his best to make sure students do well.

One of the best profs for earth science! if you want to read the paper or doze off in class, just don't show up! tests are so easy if you have notes, I had an A on every one! And his accent is super hot too!
