I liked Mr. Gelinas. I thought he was funny. His comments on papers might be difficult to understand, BUT I went to his office hours for more feedback and he told me exactly what he wanted. Doesn't care when you turn stuff in and he'll basically grade as many drafts as you want him too before turning in a final one. Really nice guy.

It doesn't matter how hard you try in his class you will not be rewarded. I rewrote a paper three times, met with him in his office hours and still only received a 2.3 on the paper. He doesn't know how to answer questions and is never clear on what he wants in his essays. I feel like I wasted my time, energy, and money. I did not learn anything.

The only good things about taking him was like he gave good reviews for the tests and he put friday classes online. Other then that, i regret taking him ! He gave me the lowest grade on my transcript, when the material is super easy. You can be really good at writing but he is never satisfied with anyone's work and wants more and more detail.

I think Mr. G is a great teacher. Hes a bit quirky, but he is always a nice guy and provides help if you need it. He has always been nice to me and understanding. He doesn't get mad for turning in assignments late. Hes a hard grader on the papers but he gives many chances to make it up. if you actually talk to him you will get a good grade overall

He thinks his jokes are funny & he thinks he's nice because he brings cookies, but he's terrible. On quizzes, you need to write out his exact words or it's wrong and he'll tear apart all of your papers, even if you've previously been told that you're a great writer by other professors. I got lucky and passed with a good grade, but I don't know how.

He does not believe in multiple choice tests, since he argues there are bad drivers on the road since they passed a multiple choice test. Frankly, there are also bad teachers at universities, because they passed multiple choice tests. I suspect he must be one of those who passed the multiple choice test.

This man keep me from getting a 4.0 last semester and its not because I am a poor writer or lazy (frankly the writing center and my previous teachers think I am an excellent writer), yet some how I ended up with a 3.0. He teaches you nothing and is a waste of time. DO NOT TAKE!

Mr. G will let you re-write your papers but this will just waste your time. Even if you change everything he says to change in your paper you still will get a poor grade. I was not lazy at all through out this class and I actually like to write but this man made my entire semester miserable.

I found this professor to be very easy to talk to about your papers. But he is a very hard grader, it seems like you can never please him no matter what. I would not recommend taking him if you want a good grade unless you want to work extra hard for it.

I would recommend taking this professor if you are a female because you will feel good about yourself. He seems to check out his female students a little to much and often makes a fool of himself when he turns around and the girls are like wtf..other than that he will assign 16 credits worth of homework, readings and other stuff EVERY WEEK. Avoid

I am an Honors College student and received a 4.0 in the WRT 150 class the semester before. This class was awful! I have NEVER received a lower grade. He is impossible to please and unless you like working your but off for a 2.0 DON'T TAKE HIM!!!

This class was decent, but I felt like I didn't learn anything. All the comments that are posted are all correct. If you have to take WRT 160, try and get another professor. Gelinas is a hard person to please and I feel that his class wasn't beneficial. Listen to us when we say that this class is a waste of your time!
