He is the EASIEST sociology professor in the school. There is no final to worry about, studying for tests is easy and there are 10 minute homeworks that are assigned most of the time to build your grade. If you need an easy introductory course, take this guy.

dont take him unless hes the only one available. the class is a super easy A if you do the hw every night and turn it in.the hw is easy but sitting in class is a waste of time. he talks so fast that you cant follow him and miss what he is trying to say. hes VERY wordy. 3 projects & a lot of hw. no final though but quizzes throughout the semester

Paul Higgins is a TRIP!!! I took him two years ago and failed!! Please don't have any personal emergencies or any problems outside of class, bc in Prof. Higgin's world, mishappenings and bad things don't exist. He appears nice at first.....But it is very strange how he flips when you try to explain things to him. HE IS WEIRD!!! Be prepared!

Higgins is the BEST teacher i have ever had at USC. he is crystal clear about everything & helps ya out alot! i wasn't interested in socy at all, but he actually made me look forward to coming to class! you have no tests, just homework (nightly, but its not that bad) and quizzes every now and then. Go to class & do your homework and you'll get an A

Weird like everyone said...however definitely do all the homework, and you'll do fine. The PQ's are not the easiest in the world, even if you go to every class, and get all the points on every homework assignment...I wouldn't recommend, but wouldn't avoid either...just don't seat on the first couple of rows, he will spit on you if you do...

Weird class and prof, but easy compared to the "real" sections. No quizzes or tests, but the readings and random homework collection get annoying. Make sure you go to class everyday. Wouldn't recommend, but definitely wouldn't avoid.

The class is easy, but the professor is so frustrating. He seems nice at first, but he makes nasty comments and is generally a mean and unhappy person. He speaks really quickly and singles out students with strange and complicated questions. He also disrespects any ideas other than his own. STAY AWAY!

GREAT!!! open note short quizzes and easy homework makes up grade. puts text online so no need to buy or carry book. lectures are basically common sense but you have to go to turn in homework. almost always takes late work. super nice and impossible to fail as long as you do the easy homework. definately take his class! easy and you learn.

Easiest class I have taken since coming to school. Professor Higgins is completely off his rocker but half of the crap he says is common sense. I took this class as a chemistry major because I needed a social science. The only annoying part about this course was the amount of homework but if you're a good student you should be more than fine.
