Dr J was a really good professor. He was easy to follow and his notes helped a lot. Ochem is not easy but he makes the material understandable. Use Klein, his notes and practice sets and youll be okay

Dr. Johnson at first was really hard to understand, but as the class progressed it got better teaching wise. If you don't do well on the tests do not hesitate to go to his office hours he will more than likely give you some points on the tests (with good reason) back. Overall, not bad you put the minimum effort into it.

O chem in general is just hard. Having an ancient professor makes it that much harder. He's not awful though, just confusing at times. He gives partial credit on exams and quizzes, and 30 bonus points, which is nice. I basically had to teach myself based on the 2 textbooks if I wanted to actually learn, but his lectures did help.

Dr. Johnson made a class which I went into terrified, a breeze. I only purchased the small Klein book. His notes are very easy to understand, he gives extra credit through bonus quizzes. The exams were not difficult. I copied his notes into a notebook everyday, along with the klein problems, and will be passing with an A. You just have to try!!

For being an organic chemistry professor, Dr. Johnson was fair and gave as much extra credit as possible. It was still not an easy class, but it was doable. You will survive if you try.

PJ is super intelligent and really wants to help you if you put the time and effort into his class. I used the Klein book (didnt even buy the textbook) and went to tutoring once a week. Ended up with an A in the class, so this hard class is extremely doable. His notes are super organized and easy to study off of.

Dr. Johnson is a great teacher and really knows his stuff, but the material is very difficult. If you want to do good in the class you should definitely go to his lectures and take notes. He gives a lot of extra credit and the grading scale is very helpful to students' GPA's, but his exams are extremely tough. If you study a lot you will do fine.

Organic requires a lot of studying outside of class. If you miss lectures you will get confused. Just to the problems that correspond to the information that he covers in class, keep up, and you'll do fine. The only thing that kind of sucks is that there are only 5 grades in the class, two quizzes, two exams, and a final. But he does offer bonus!!

PJ is a very knowledgeable guy. His teaching style is unique, some students love it, I did not. His lectures are mostly examples and not explanations, so if you don't learn by example you will have to teach yourself. I had to teach myself, but to his credit, he gives you plenty of resources. Do all the HW and rewrite the notes and you'll pass.

He gives extra credit - DO IT. He is a nice guy overall, but the material is so difficult that he needs to work harder to help us understand. Even after going to EVERY class and reading along in the book, I still struggle to pass this class. Do the homework problems at the bottom of the lecture pages - they'll help. Prepare for a lot of work!

Ochem is hard, period. But he makes it easy to follow. Still a lot of memorization and sometimes didn't feel prepared for exams. READ THE BOOK. It will help. Do not miss lecture or you'll be behind. Good guy, just hard material. Also gives extra credit, which you will need.

Ochem is just a difficult class for most people. PJ makes it pretty easy compared to most schools. His notes do not follow the order of the book, but he gives you specific sections and practice problems to reference in the text (I recommend doing them) Klein helps. Exam 1 easy Exam 2 hard Final mostly the new material even though he said cumulative

Gen Chem students, you can finally take a breather! PJ is a very good professor and his class is very straight forward. I did not use the textbook and almost got a perfect on the first exam. Just be sure to read Klein's as it is very helpful with comprehension. Be sure to do his practice exams/worksheets as some problems are repeated on his exams.

PJ was a great professor. He understands that the material he is covering is difficult, and does his best to allow students to pass. He has a broad grading scale which makes it pretty easy to do well, but be sure to recheck all of his grading, as he does it himself. Do all assigned Klein problems and old exams/quizzes and you should be fine.

I thought PJ was an excellent professor. Ochem is a difficult subject, but I have a feeling it would have been a lot worse for me if someone else taught it. I really like the way he does the notes, he explains things really well, and he's occasionally really funny. With his grading scale and the bonus points, doing well is definitely possible.

PJ was one of my favorite professors thus far. Organic Chem is a hard subject but he makes it worthwhile and he has a great sense of humor during his lectures. I'd advise not to skip class but it won't cause you to fail if you do it rarely. He gives ton of bonus points and his exams are expected to be difficult but not impossible.

I absolutely loved PJ. He is a great professor with a good sense of humor (which is nice during lecture). His notes are clear and the assigned problems are relevant. He gives out a lot of supplemental materials on BB that mirror exams. His grading curve and extra credit make it possible to do well, but he goes through difficult material very fast.

Dr. Johnson made OChem so much easier for me to understand because he actually explained what he was lecturing. He is very straight forward, and you know exactly what will be on the exams. If you do not pass, it is the lack of effort on your part. He makes it more than manageable to pass.
