He is a real gem,Incredible professor! He is super interactive and you can tell he loves teaching speech. 3 speech, ( 3 minute, 5 minutes, 5-7 minutes). Easy A, a great GPA booster, lots of grade points ( extra credit) Respect him he will respect you.

Pauls class is a game, with always changing rules, so youd better be present for when he starts making up new ones. He is rude, insensitive, has repeatedly made sexist & racist comments, has talked down on peoples religious views and personal life, yet views himself as the most wise and open-minded man youll meet. Do NOT take his class.

many of his lectures did not pertain to what we were learning and he did talk about random things. however, I definitely felt my speaking skill did progress and he had each student's best interest at heart. he is a great guy and professor.

Professor Lagergren has potential to be a good professor and clearly cares about his work, but lets his emotions and age get the best of him. Incredibly forgetful, rude, and even screamed at the whole class at one point. Talks constantly about himself. If you crave organization and professionalism, don't take this professor!

terrible professor, you'll literally be listening to his stories about his past the whole class period. Super disrespectful, doesn't care about his students, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TAKING THE CLASS

Paul is an 80 year old who has beat cancer twice and is a real gem. He gets off track in his lectures all the time and it may not make sense but I guarantee you will leave the class confident in speaking in front of others. You have to participate but he does make it really fun. NO CELL PHONES IN CLASS OR YOU WILL BE DROPPED.

Easy A if you do the work and he offers extra credit in the form of bonus points. He isn't always clear about his instructions but you will be fine as long as you ask questions. You need to read the 10 chapters to do the hw. There were four quizzes, two papers, and a panel presentation. He canceled the final on last day. Took the class over summer.

He is very by the book how he teaches, formatting on paper is mandatory as per the examples he gives, he is also very vague when asked questions which is unpleasant. Tends to ramble. Multiple homework assignments to write definitions found in chapters, quizzes based on those definitions. I'm on the fence whether i'd re take his class or not.

Professor Lagergren is a fairly good teacher. Gives a lot of HW assignments & once you get into groups you'll have to do 2 papers projects that took long to complete. Gives vocabulary quizzes for the words from the textbook. If you simply follow his instructions & do what he says, you'll get a good grade. Got an A+ on every assignment!

BEWARE- Prof is a very sweet man, but his class is dreadful. It's incredibly easy, but prepare for the most boring class of all time. Also, he gives incredible vague answers and doesn't explain things very well. Talks way too much. Final Exam is a blue book exam. Overall easy, but not worth it.

Professor Lagergren is an amazing professor. I didn't have any interest in public speaking and dreaded having to take it but he made the class enjoyable. He goes above and beyond in his teaching methods to create an environment that allows students to step out of their comfort zone. He is supportive, insightful, and dedicated.

I wouldn't recommend taking a class with this instructor. It was a boring experience. It was bearable until the last half of the semester: class divided into groups for a social issue project, the groups would just discuss how to format the paper portion. It wasn't fun at all, and I dreaded having to attend for it. He was respectful though.

Incredibly funny,yet inspiring prof! I would recommend anyone to take this class! He makes sure you don't feel singled out and no one is allowed to disrespect! You get all that you need and then some from this class! If you do well and show initiative you may not have to take the final, I didn't and still got an A! TAKE HIM!

The first half of the class he goes on random tangents that do not pertain to the class at all. The second half is spent either doing quizzes or in groups where we had absolutely nothing to do. He would walk out of the classroom any possible chance he had and would be gone for half an hour.

Comment:

Definitely one of my favorite professors'. Very enthusiastic, motivating, teaches you look deep within yourself, and makes you feel good. Always makes you say there is nothing to worry about and being nervous is ok. Very comforting too...Tells great stories and very funny...Always look at him as a philosophy teacher instead. Take Him!!!
