He lays out everything you will do over the semester in the syllabus. He is a funny guy. He doesn't like lateness or skipping. You get three skips before he starts docking points. There is never a single test in this class, so that was a plus. There is a final project, but there isn't a true final

While sometimes he can be a bit much, he is a super nice guy. You do have to work for a good Grade. If you don't do the work you wont pass. The class is super fun though!

Challenging class, but very interesting! His tests are challenging but he gives you all the tools you need to succeed. He is always open for extra help and outside the classroom experiences. This is one of my favorite classes and he is one of my favorite professors.

At first he seemed like a great professor but turned out to be extremely rude. He expects people to email him and suck up in order for him to like you. Plus he doesn't discuss important items in the plays but expects you to know then on the test. He frequently tells the class that only the "intelligent, A students will understand." Unprofessional.

Do you love reading? Do you love notetaking? Then you'll love this professor's class. Miss even the smallest detail in the text, and you'll fall flat on your face - along with your grade. Unlike other professors, however, he seems to be genuinely excited about his subject. His assessment methods could do with work, though. Tests? Nah. Essays? yes.

Doc is one challenging S.O.B., but at least the stuff in your head still sticks with you long after successful completion of the course. I LOVED learning about theatre history and though many personalities perceive him as a jackass, he's a funny, smart, effective professor. Take him if you can; I enjoyed him and I'm taking him for Intro.
