Comment:

Only uses powerpoint to teach math... rarely does practice problems. If you ask questions in class, he embarrasses you and acts like you should know everything about math. Is not helpful at all at "extra help". Incredibly rude to students, and only likes you if you're amazing at math. No partial credit and puts random subjects on tests. Do NOT TAKE

Comment:

Professor Mancini can come off as abrasive or mean at first, but as time passes and he gets to know you as a student he starts cracking jokes and his sense of humor shows through. He has no tolerance for lazy students, but if you try he'll like you and he'll help you out in any way he can. Gives graded homework right before each quiz, which helps.

DO NOT TAKE FOR BASIC STATS if you are bad at math. Won't like you if you're bad at math. Is very rude to students, even when you ask a question in class. Throws random material on tests to trick students, and does not grade fairly. AVOID. Gives no extra credit, only lectures from the powerpoint and does no problems in class. Grades homework.

Professor Mancini is a good professor if math comes easy to you. He tends to go through notes very quickly and assumes the class understands without full explanation. He also isn't very good at answering questions, tends to be broad.

Comment:

Professor Mancini is a good math teacher if math comes naturally to you. When students ask for help, typically he is rude and makes you feel bad. Asking for help in math a necessity, so just do it. He gives a lot of h.w. and has a group project at the end. The final is also painstaking. Overall, I would say he was effective to an extent.

As a non-math person, Mancini really was a great professor for me. I was able to understand what he was saying and he really made the class as easy as he could for his students. He moves fast but if you don't understand something ask him and he will slow down. A quiz/hw assignment every chapter and an exam every 3 chapters.

I hated Professor Mancini. He means well, but he's so boring and I didn't feel comfortable asking for help. I struggled the whole semester and if math doesn't come naturally to you, I wouldn't take it.

I was honestly scared of him at first. Seemed really strict and hard, but warmed up to the class as the semester went on. Gives a quiz each chapter, and a test every three, with HW before each. Grades HW based on correctness, not completeness. Goes kinda fast, but will explain until everyone understands (if you ask). Bring textbook to class!

He is very clear of what he expects from you and clearly tells you how to get a good grade and how to fail. Funny at times. His lectures are extremely organized and clear. He always asks to make sure everyone understands everything. Very helpful in explaining concepts. Great professor for stats.

Stats was pretty hard but Mr. Mancini is a great guy! He really knows what he's talking about and wants his students to succeed. Although the course is hard, he's a teacher I would recommend. He's not easy on his students. Book is not necessary but formula sheet that comes with book is 100%.

Hardest class I've ever taken - I failed! So I'm retaking it this semester. Hard to understand, goes really fast, and not personable. I don't suggest taking him unless you're a mathematical genuis, and/or can teach yourself.

Horrible teacher, the vast majority of my class does not like him at all. We've already had 2 people drop the class just because they didnt want him to be their teacher. He's a tough grader, I studied for an accumulative of 5 hours for a test and I attended the 2 hr.study sessions and ended up getting a 72. Unacceptable this is the only class bring

Had this guy for Statistics, he was just awful. Terribly mean, no sense of humor, made it a point to make the class difficult. I'm being completely honest, you will be so much better off not taking any of his courses.

He is a really good guy! He really enjoys teaching and you can tell. He wants you to succeed, always reminds you of hos office hours if you need extra help. His tests and quizzes are fair and he gives a lot of quizzes so if you do awful on one your grade can still remain high. I recommend taking him for stats!!
