Milazzo is hands-down my favorite history professor. He takes attendance via tophat so attendance is mandatory. He's so enthusiastic about his content that it's not a chore going-i enjoyed being in his class. He puts a lot of time & effort into his lessons and I loved that. Don't buy book-don't need it. Milazzo is exceptional beyond words. 10/10

He is overall a friendly and energetic professor. However, his exams are pretty difficult and oddly set up. There is an insane amount of information covered overall. 100-200 lecture terms with no provided study guide on what material to focus on for the exams. He is a friendly person, but its a bit difficult for a basic history class.

Dr. Milazzo provides a lot of information to the class.... too much. He also grades papers like he is reading your thesis in environmental history and critiques the oddest grammar decisions

Professor Milazzo really knows his stuff. His class was by far the best U.S. History class I have ever taken. He makes it interesting, but be warned: you will NOT pass unless you attend lectures and take notes. He does talk really fast so laptops recommended. Exams are online and paper topics are interesting. Read the material! Fun class.

Graded very fair, but there's really only the midterm, final, and 1-2 short papers. Don't remember him offering extra credit. Coming to class wasn't mandatory, as long as you could get notes from someone in the class. Not an easy class, but most college history classes aren't. I do recommend him to future students.

He will stand up there and talk for the ENTIRE class. He does not stop and take a breath. Don't know how he does it. Don't try to take notes, no time. Power Points are not helpful. Papers are graded VERY harshlyhe gets into grammar mistakes, nothing is specific enough, and he thinks you have no clue what you're talking about. Do not take.

Milazzo is a great professor who really knows his stuff. His class is actually pretty interesting and you can tell he's a down-to-earth guy can even be pretty funny at times. But, don't take this class if you're just looking for an easy A, you actually have to read and take online quizzes. If you truly value your education then take this class.

The more complicated and powerful the job, the more rudimentary the preparation for it. Milazzo is a first-rate professor whose classes require rudimentary preparation.

He is a good guy. Everything that was expected was in the syllabus. The amount of reading was described up front, if you chose not to read and reflect, it was going to cost you. Always responsive and was always willing to meet and help. Get what you pay for.

One of the best professors i've had at OU. Really understands the material and has a good sense of humor. Tests are essay format and require a lot of writing, but I was able to do well on them.

Milazzo was one of the many teachers I have had at OU that I have been truly impressed with. His class was surely challenging and I didn't know what to expect on the 1st exam, but after I got a 79 on that I was able to prepare for the final and I got a 96 on that. I ended up with a B for the class but thoroughly enjoyed learning from him. Good prof

His tests and assignments are extremely hard. His lectures are very difficult to follow and note taking is almost impossible. In his syllabus, he says that it is almost unheard of to get an A in his class. You have to work very hard to pull off a C, and it doesn't pay off. RETHINK TAKING HIS CLASSES. I wish I would have.

So listening to this guy is like listening to the last few George Carlin comedy shows before he died. The class makes no sense, the teacher likes Battlestar Galactica and his attempt to intertwine it with the topic he is teaching is absolutely absurd. Do NOT take this class, I have warned you, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!

Nice Guy. Interesting class. Grades papers on a grammatical basis and usually rips them to shreds if you are not a good writer, therefore, stay clear of his classes if writing isn't your strength. Also don't take class if not for your major; he's a grade killer and the hard work to read all his text books and study never pays off.

What a BORING class....I usually like history, especially this time period, but this class is enough to put anyone to sleep. The tests are too hard and he grades way too hard too. The "discussion" days just turn into him giving a quiz and having more lecture and he requires you to go to watch films in the evenings. Take another class if you can.

He just stands up in the front of the room and talks. He doesn't provide powerpoints that are helpful for writing down information. The only points are 2 tests and a few extra points here and there in discussion.
