Mr. Paul has to be one of the most annoying professors I have come across. Cocky, arrogant, and spends more time laughing at his own jokes. No textbook is required, but we are required to attend shows on campus which aren't much compared to a text book, but it still sucks.

I thought from the ratings on here that I read that this class wouldn't be bad, but it got old real fast. "Mr. Paul" wasn't funny at all, he was very cocky and arrogant about everything. He tells you to tell him if he needs to slow down with the slides in class, but then when someone tells him too he gives attitude. Waste of my time.

He requires you to attend theater events on campus for the class, they all cost a good chunk of money for a college student, and he is the choreographer or has some part in the performances! ridiculous for a CCC

Mr. Paul is an awesome teacher! But if you don't enjoy the aspects of theatre i wouldnt take this class. there are a lot of notes and you REALLY have to study if you want to do well. You do have to write essays about the shows but they are so easy if you enjoy them. also you NEED a ticket stub attached to your sheet otherwise "KA-CHING" points off.

Mr. Paul the farthest thing from a stereotypical professor you'll find. He's amusing and keeps class light. There's no textbook. He doesn't take attendance, but you'll understand material better if you go to class. And it's definitely not an agonizing class to sit through. Take this class if you can! It's an easy CCC.

Mr. Paul is amazing, he can be eccentric at times but he's a riot. the class is really easy as long as you go. He takes ALL test material from the notes and there is no book to buy. You have to see performances and write about them, but those are easy too if you follow his guidelines. :)

Very theater like guy. Always telling corny jokes, but you'll still laugh. Class isn't hard AT ALL. It seems like a lot but it's really not. 4 tests, lowest dropped (aka you can skip the final)I suggest taking it with a friend. IF you study, test are super easy. Essays are on performances you go to see. Info is kinda boring.. but you'll survive.

He is one of the most up beat professors I've ever had. He tries to keep the kids awake with his corny jokes, and laughs at himself. If you enjoy learning about theatre, and are okay with hearing him talking through his notes, then you will get through the class. The downside is that he has a lot of notes and you REALLY need to study.

He's so annoying. I hated sitting through class. But the tests were so easy. If you get the notes and memorize them for tests you don't even need to go to class and sit thru his lectures with his stupid jokes

Probably one of the most annoying teachers I've ever had. He thinks he's hilarious, when in reality he's SUPER corny. He takes pleasure in calling out students and making them feel bad. It was painful to sit through class and listen to his awful jokes.

If you enjoy upbeat flamboyancy and are quiet and respectful, you will enjoy Mr. Mockovak's class. Everything on the tests is right in the notes. He's not unfair with test grades. Critiques are easy to ace. It's an all-around entertaining class and an easy CCC.

Interesting class. But alot of information for a ccc. Tests were very hard, alot of information. I would consider not taking it for a CCC.

Strict, lots of notes, and God help you if you cross or even criticize him--but personally, I liked him. It was a fun class. Helps if you like videos of I Love Lucy and dogs/cats dressed as things.

Mr. Paul is a great teacher. I absolutely lovedhis intro to performing arts class (and i'm not a theatre major). His class was easy, I got 100 on all the papers and tests, just make sure you study his notes! And as for those of you complaining about buying tickets for plays, you arent mentioning that he has you buy the tickets instead of a textbook

i went to class only for the exams, and the lowest grade i got on the exams was a 96. as long as you get the notes and memorize them, you will do fine on his tests. downside to the class- you have to pay to go see performances (opera etc). the critiques you have to write are not hard. Mockvak is very flamboyant, but entertaining.

Took intro to Theatre (or equiv). I earned an A on each of his exams, but wrote a slightly negative (well-supported) critique of a performance he had directed. I ended up with a D+ in his class. I successfully appealed the grade to the dean. HE WAS A GOOD PROFESSOR. I recommend biting your tongue and stroking his ego!

However flamboyant and jovial he may seem, deep down he's a MONSTER. There are mandatory critiques on performances and if he directed it? Don't say anything bad about it - he'll make sure you fail that class. He usually starts class with clips that have nothing to do with anything. The notes are endless. However, the tests are right from the notes.

Off the walls. Fairly interesting to watch teach, unfortunately he doesnt do a very good job at it. If you take this class be prepared for endless powerpoint shows (not on blackboard, either), agonizingly large amounts of notes and nigh impossible tests.
