Comment:

You can buy a study guide the first day of class that shows you what is going to be on every test the entire semester. The test questions are very similar. Sure she is a little old, she speaks soflty, and stutters, but she is an adorably sweet lady and is as clear as any survey teacher. Took Jim Watson and got an F, Took Eileen and got a B.

I hadn't taken a math class in about a year and I got a 70% in the last one I did take, so I was pretty worried about this class. She made it pretty easy though and I actually ended up with an A! You can buy study guides for the tests at the bookstore, and if you do that, the tests are pretty easy.

Precal: She teaches the material so great that you don't even have to go over it in the book. She takes problems from the book and puts them on quizzes and tests, which are given at least one a week. She studders but only when she is nervous. She doesn't answer questions that great but will keep trying until you tell her that you got it.

mrs leiber was very structured in her teaching methods but her tests were very hard and she always put things on there that we didn't cover in class. she also had quizzes almost every other day

Mrs. Lieber is very nice. You can get easily distracted if you don't sit in the front because she speaks softly. She will help you as much as possible and has good office hours. She is very fair and her Lecture was by far a better choice than taking Modular Survey of Calculus.

this was a great class! lieber is so cute, and if you have any questions don't be afriad to ask, because she will stop and start over any problems necessary. i really didn't like my math classes until this year. i would highly recommend her.

Lieber is one of the worst teachers I have encountered. When I tried to get help from her she basically just told me that I was stupid and didn't study for a test. I think she is okay unless you actually need HELP with something!

Lieber isn't much of a teacher (I'm pretty sure she just reads and copies the examples from the textbook.) She does know her stuff though, and is a pretty friendly person. Just make sure you do the homework, buy the review packet and don't miss class; she gives lots of quizzes - many of them pop quizzes - so if you skip her class you will miss them

Not great at actually teaching the material, but she gives study guides w/ answers to all tests and most quizzes are take home. I didn't do hardly any homework and still passed, so if you go to class and and do some homework you will be fine.

My only complaint with Lieber is that in lecture, she tends to move a little too fast for many people in the classroom. The material is not hard, but I found myself re-explaining some of the lectures to my classmates often.

This is one of the best survey of cal teachers on campus. I would know because I audited all the rest. Everything in her lectures is what she tests on & she usually gives you good examples of what might be on the test. The only reason this class isn't easy is because of the material, not her. She also has a prep guide for final that helps bunches!

Although she's a sweet old lady, it's hard too pay attention. Her stutter and quiet voice also impedes learning, but she is really helpful one-on-one. Be careful, and make sure yo attend class or else you'll fall behnd. She gives at least 2 quizzes a week, one scheduled, the others a pop quiz. Test can be hard, so make sure you study.

She stutters a lot, and talks like a typical old person. Whenever someone asks her to explain something she just repeats whatever she last said more slowly. She doesn't speak loudly enough for her voice to get to the back of the room. She's INCREDIBLY boring.

Studders alot...Boring to listen to. Cares about her students though, and will provide all the out of class help you want. Test problems much more difficult than homework and lecture examples, so you think you know the material until you see the test, then you crap your pants. Take the time to go to her office for help!

She's a good teacher, she goes a little slower than most need but that's good fpr people who like to zone out during class... She gives fair (and fairly easy) tests. She also gives quizzes that will add up to be another test grade (and drops like 3 or 4 of your worst quizzes).

As someone who has always been terrified of math, I have to say I'm glad I'm taking calculus with Ms. Lieber. She presents the material so it's easy to understand and she frequently reminds the class that free tutoring is available. She also provides complete answers with graded quizzes, which helps when studying for tests!
