Comment:

This is quite possibly the worst course I have ever taken. He spends 90% of our 3 hour lecture talking about himself, his sons, and his scuba trips. He is incoherent when writing or speaking and just uses random technical jargon to make himself sound intelligent. He acts like he is an expert and a visionary, but he fails to convey that in IE203.

Pretty terrible class and professor. Makes you drop 120 dollars on his useless package of magazines. Just copy all the homeworks cuz theyre online and come in once in a while. He is also more harsh on students with accents

Comment:

Very nice and helpful. Learned so much about quality management. The assignments are tedious but interesting. He makes the subject so exciting and will give you the chance to get more involved and possibly get a position in the ASQ leadership board. I highly recommend this professor and I wish NJIT had more professors like him.

Comment:

The best and the most helpful professor ever. He is always there for his students and goes out of his way to help everyone. Students who find him arrogant simply have a problem with dominant people and will thus have issues entering the job field. He is so knowledgeable, patient and clear about what he expects from his students. Highly recommend!

Easy A but an awful class. Unfortunately it is required for most. 7 long assignments make up your entire grade. You design a website and do all 7 assignments and you will easily pass. You can find past students work on the internet. He makes you buy his e-book and materials. Left class after every 7:30 break, lectures don't really help much.

Do the hard work and read the long chapters, words by words. You should do good then. Not extremely picky or mean, grammatical mistakes are ignored if you had a real idea in your assignments. DO NOT COPY but please go online and reference others work. ePackage is costly though........ this I do agree with other students, why so expensive?

No tests. You need to build a website and there are about 7 assignment total and this will be your whole grade. I've never met a man more full of himself, its disgusting... Just go to class every once and a while do EVERY assignment in full (which is miserable) but you can find them all over the internet, and you will get a good grade.

This dude has no idea how sarcastic and rude he is. Unfortunately had to take him twice in two semesters, with apparently different course description and to my non-surprise, his package are the same, waste of money and waste of time. He is never clear on what he expect us to do and his webpage and the information in the CD are all over the place.

Dr. Ranky is a very helpful professor and has lots of knowledge to share with those eager to learn and put in the work. He is one of my first professors at NJIT and I'm very impressed. Especially when I had to live an work in another state for over year, Dr. Ranky was very understanding of my situation. Overall, very understandingcaring prof.

Dr. Paul Ranky (Professor Ranky) is very pompous both through emails and in-person, and is a very discouraging individual. On behalf of myself, past, present, and future students Professor Ranky should be enitrely removed from the education sector. He is not only doing a disservice to NJIT, but a disservice to each and every student.

Makes you buy $180 "E-pack" that he claims is not for profit, contains two burnt CDRs, as well as 4 (free) sales brochures that's it! "E-pack" is also individually serialized, so no reselling it, and he will turn you in if you lend it to a friend or family member. Be prepared for 50+ hours per assignment, all lectures are hours of reading

Ah. Good Ole Ranky. I don't understand why he has a low rating. Yea.. give or take some moments he will show an attitude but that's how the real world is when you don't understand and grasp what the boss wants. I truly believe that he has everyone's BEST interest at heart. He wants everyone to be successful and he has TONSS of knowledge to give.

Worst Professor at NJIT. Does not deserve Tenure, although he has it, and brags about it in class. Teaches nothing in person, than asks you to read is run on sentence syllabus...I highly recommend you stay away from this professor -plus the books he makes you buy are made by him and will cost you hundreds. BAD Return on Investment for this class..

Dr. Ranky is one of the best professors i had at NJIT. His assignments are straight forward and he is always willing to help you out. Attendance is mandatory, but lectures are really interesting that classes fly by.

Unusual method of teaching, however it resembles how actual companies perform tqm techniques and audits. Tough course, detail worked, very useful when class is completed. Topics are tough to implement but very useful once mastered. If you find this class hard, it will be very tough for you when you start working for any companies that implement tqm
