Mandatory attendance which really sucked because class was at 8:40AM, short quizzes every once in awhile on the readings/films, and 2-3 short writing assignments. Few chances for extra credit. Provides practice exam and explanations for each test, which is really helpful.

Pretty easy class. Attendance is mandatory though, you get points off for even 1 unexcused absence (it sucks for an 8:40am class). He's a little weird, but a good teacher and cares about students. A lot of really short quizzes on readings but he's lenient with make-ups and gives extra credit. Gives awesome review sheets for exams. Take him!

The best proffesor at Rutgers. Content requires effort to understand, but he explains it well,and is always there to help. I have never met a more dedicated proffesor. You can tell he really loves his job and cares about his students.

This class was great! I learned alot. It was very interesting and the videos were great. This class really opened up my eyes about racism in this country. I am so glad i took this course. Its really easy if you come to class and take notes. The tests are not hard but not easy either u must study. He will do everything in his power for u to succeed.

A little more boring then expected but still good. Easy. This guy is really accomidating about make up exams. Go to the lectures. He is a super funny guy too. His exams questions are hilarious. I know this may sound ridiculous but when you are up studying late and delusional they give you a good laugh...

one of THE best professors EVER! keeps class interesting with skits and live examples. ALWAYS willing to give help and give an extra point or two if u let him know u know what ur talking about. GO to lecture because everything on his slides is everything u need to know, and also go to class coz itz just a great class. exams are long but pretty fair

He is an amazing teacher! Take his class if you get the chance! The best professor I have had at RU and he really wants his students to do well. Go to class (you will want to) and his tests are fun, he is there for you so if you do poorly its by your own lack of effort.

Omg, I loved Reck. Besides that I loved looking at him, his class was amazing! The test questions are hysterical and he really wants to help out his students. Seriously, take this class-you'll learn a TON and you'll have fun doing it.

What can one say about Reck? He's the man!!!!! great professor who seriously cares about students and is one of (if not the most_ helpful prof. I have ever had at RU. His test questions are hilarious but there is a lot of stuff to know for the exams but it's worth it you learn a lot.

I have him for Criminology and he is seriously amazing. Very critical of the media in the United States and how it shapes the justice system. Interesting course material and he'll help you out on anything you need. If you can take this course, DO IT.

I found the material to be very interesting and the issues we discussed seem like something everyone should learn about. He could get annoying though because he would always try and cram too much info into a lecture. Still, this was a really great course, exams were easy, and papers were interesting to write. Reck-dizzil for shizzil... No matter what class you take with him he is the man. He will go above and beyond what most professors will do for thier student. He gets you invovled in the class, challenges you to think and make you want to think. Great Profes all around

He is such a great professor. He teaches well, keeps your interest, helps you out on anything, and gives plenty of extra credit. No exams besides the midterm and final, 4 short papers which were pretty easy, and attendance does count but its worth going anyway! I would definately take his courses if you have the chance.

I took criminology and race relations with him and he is a great professor! He really cares and he gave me an A in criminology even though I was at the cutoff point between a B+ and an A. He knew that I worked hard and rewarded me in the end for it. If you want to do well, he'll be there to help you.
