Dr. Ries was somewhat tough but awesome. I did better in his class than I did in Brehobs class. The only thing is that he likes to take you on field trips via slide show. I learned alot in his class and came out more interested in wanting to learn more about the subject. Be prepared to study but it is worth it.

Awesome teacher! He is very enthusiastic about geography, and extremely dedicated. You can tell he truly enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge with students. He has high expectations as far as exams and assignments, but they are very reasonable and relevant. His stories and slides are a blast!

Very nice man, but his tests suck, and he still uses the same tests he used 20 years ago! Update things once in a while, man!
