Tests are incredibly hard, but they are open notes. All lecture notes are posted online. Hardest class I have ever taken.

If you happen to be a student of MIT level of caliber then you are good to go, If you have not been in touch with your undergrad linear algebra (which is essentially the entirety of the course) then you are screwed. If you are just like any other engineering student, who likes to implement in practice this extremely theoretical course isn't for you

I was told going into vibrations that if you do all homework, show up for class, and do your best on the exams you won't fail. I found this to be the case. Dr. Ro is very even-keel and I enjoyed the lectures. Make sure you go to class -- if attendance is down he gives a pop "queez." It is a difficult but totally reasonable class. Good luck!

Notes are very helpful and mostly typed. This keeps you from needing a book. The lectures definitely build on one another and will leave you lost if you miss too many.

Book use is minimal and the notes provided are very clear and helpful. I found it hard to keep engaged as the material tended to by a bit dry and theoretical.
