Comment:

Very boring class. He does not use Canvas so you have to go to class to know what he is teaching. His lectures are dry and boring. There are three tests and a final exam. Attendance is mandatory. He doesn't let you know what your grade is in the class. He doesn't even let students use the restroom. I wouldn't recommend taking him.

Dreaded going to class some days because I would get so bored. He has good intentions but lectures from a powerpoint which is not offered online so attendance is mandatory to get info. Very dry and not interesting. Learned a few things but he's not the best.

His teaching skills are boring. He lectures and uses PowerPoint. He has a dry sense of humor which I didn't find funny at all. He calls people out in class and even if you don't know the answer he keeps asking you. He has three exams and a final exam.

LOVE HIM~ Dr. Rompf is awesome. He is funny and a true professional and academic. He has tons of real world experience! You have to work- but welcome to grad school! This is what it is about!

Awesome course to take. It is grad level so you are expected to be in attendance and participate. If you have not taken HFT 2500 you will need that basic knowledge to succeed in this course. Case studies are really insightful. Read the material.

Rompf is a great professor, he really knows what he is talking about and 90% of his questions for the tests come straight from the online reviews, its a really simple class, and if you want to learn about marketing hes a great professsor, however he is a little bit dry and can be boring at times, but overall knows his stuff, and knows how to teach

Don't waste your time taking him for marketing. You are not tested on the material given during lectures the test questions were mostly from the book website. He takes attendance so you have to be there for his boring lectures. What a waste of time and I really wanted to learn more about marketing too..

Professor Rompf is not that bad! He's a nice guy and he's really funny. As long as you study for the tests you'll make an A. They are NOT hard. You only have 4 tests. No project or anything else which is SO nice! Attendance is mandatory but the class is definitely interesting. Take Mr. Rompf!

Never bought the textbook, still did good (online quizzes are helpful). enjoyed teacher..he tried to make it as interesting as possible and usually it worked. Would def take him again..felt like i actually learned something

I didnt buy the book and got A's on all the tests. Take notes and show up for the review and its a super easy class. He is super accomodating if you miss class and have a valid excuse (but you better have proof) he tries to be funny and lite, but the content is pretty boring until after the midterm. I'd take him again

Nice guy, tries to appeal to the younger students by being funny but his sense of humor is quite dry. I would take him any day over Naipul(other mktg prof). No projects or homework. Makes life a little simpler
