Don't take this guy unless you think classrooms are good places to sleep in. My friend slept in almost every single classes, and I'm always sleepy in this class. The test is quite hard, for those who don't like natural science.

I took his section both semesters 181 & 182 because he is a great teacher. The material is difficult but he explains it so you can somewhat understand it. He is extremely willing to help students as well, as I have been to his office hours or emailed him asking him questions and he always responds. Tests are hard, but curved a lot! Great teacher!

His tests are very much logic, not just using equations. this was difficult for me, i knew the material extremely well, but still got a C because his exams are very difficult, even with a curve. he says so himself.

His lectures are easy to follow, yet his examples in class (and in the textbook) are usually not enough to be able to figure out homework problems. He actually told a group member of mine to "go figure it out yourself" when he asked for help on a homework problem. Tests are pretty much downright impossible.

NOT EASY. You will have to work very hard, but is more than willing to help you out. Tests are extremely curved. (On the 3 exams and the final I got a 45%, 50%, 70%, and about a 74% on the final, and I got a B in the class.) Just work hard and he will help you out in the end. Overall, a good prof

The tests were hard, but he REALLY tries to help you out. He explains things well, and tries to get to know students names. He'll work hard with you to make sure you understand the material if you go into his office hours. Really one of the best professors I've ever had.
