Dr. Paul is a wonderful instructor and hope I can take him again, He gives excellent feedback and responds to questions/emails. He spends time discussion performance concerns and staging difficulty. His history of life is very interesting the way he incorporates it into the lectures. He is a true treasure!

Took Family Comm with him. He is great! He structures class uniquely. It's not your typical lecture. Lots of discussion and really cares about what students have to say. He is a theater guy and there are 2 required performances. But trust me, if I can do it, so can you! I had no performance background whatsoever and hate speaking in front of class.

It was a real treat to have Siddens. He loves what he teaches and loves student participation & commentary. He takes pride in what students have to offer. Overall his personality & teachings make him a very appreciated professor & I hope to have him again!

Paul is a groovy professor. He tells you the first day that he prides himself in being a difficult A. I know a lot of people who bombed his papers. But If you take the time, get good sources, and atleast act interested in the class, you'll be fine. He relates to his students and has a lot of good stories. Really great prof.

Paul is a good teacher. He takes attendance daily, and will dock grades accordingly, other than this, your grade is determined by 3 papers 6-10 pages in length. Use as many good sources as humanly possible. he also factors in attendance and participation. The class itself is interesting but if you aren't gonna use notes for a paper don't take them

Paul is very talented and cares about his students. His classes aren't easy, but you will come away learning so much. And never be afraid to ask him questions because he is going to help you until he knows you understand what you are doing. Amazing Person!!

Dr. Siddens was a great teacher. Probably the best I had in college. Go to class, take notes, and study for the tests and you'll do fine. I procrastinated for the final paper and accidentally tackled the same topic as Dr. Sidden's paper. He loved it.

Comment:

Very laid back and tries to make lectures interesting. Explains the criteria for each speech clearly and gives good feedback. Tests are easy as long as you take notes in class. One of the best teachers I've ever had. I'm usually nervous giving speeches, but he creates a very comfortable atmosphere.

Absolutely brutal with attendance. Starts the class by telling you that making an A is almost impossible, but thats not quite true. Gives the test questions in advance, so if you study a bit and work at it you can get a good score. Class can be dull at times, interesting at others. Not bad.

He is definetly a laid back prof, but if you want an easy A, his class isnt the one for you. The first day of class he will tell you that he considers C's average...and gives them out a lot. You really have to work hard to get an A on a speech. His tests are pretty easy though.
