Zimmerman is nice. I don't really have any complaints. I really looked forward to this class and building my screenwriting skills and he made that really exciting. Cool teacher, really relaxed and accommodating. Very funny. Would love to take another course from him if I got the chance.

I've actually taken two classes with this professor at Hofstra, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a creative writing class where they can not only be a free thinker/writer, but also need a little humor in their lives. Although attendance is mandatory, he is very understanding if you cannot be in class. Awesome professor!

It may take a class to get used to his humor, but class gets comfortable. He provides you with all the material. He never forces people to read in-class work aloud. Little homework load. He's a reasonable grader, balancing praise and constructive criticism. As long as you email him in advance, he's understanding about attendance. Love this class.

My favorite! I took him twice. If you enjoy creative writing, you should have a good time in the class. He has an interesting sense of humor.. He offers ample feedback on writing and isn't one of those nitpicky types that has a problem with everything~ he gives positive feedback along with constructive criticism. I learned a lot

His class is my favorite one I'm in this semester. he has a good sense of humor and keeps his lessons interesting. he gives tons of writing samples and provides detailed assignment sheets, so it's clear what he is looking for in an assignment. motivating, too, always finds at least one good thing in each writing piece to address.

Fantastic professor. I'm a creative writing major,and he still makes it fun for me. Hilarious,very helpful. I look forward to class.There's little work,and the students all help each other. Absolutely amazing. Hilarious & really interacts with the class. I looked forward to going to class every day. You'll do well as long as you go to class, do the readings (only 4 short stories), & put effort into your writing (1 play, 2 stories). Encourages you to do well & improve. Prof. Zimmerman's class was the most fun in which I had been. As a business major, it was a welcome escape for someone who likes to write. He was encouraging and helpful. As far as clarity is concerned, the high rating that I gave in no way reflects his handwriting, which isn't that legible. Prof. Zimmerman is a great professor and person.

awesome person and professor. TAKE HIM. seriously. his class really helps bring out the writer in you, and is very participation based. be prepared to read your work out loud. we wrote 2 short stories, some poetry, and did some writing in class.

Only 5 letters can describe this man G R E A T!!!!. He only gives 3 papers which are no more than 5 pages long. Final paper was 8 pages, but it wasnt due until last day of class. Participation is a biggie. Easy A. I recommend him for anyone who doesn't like english. He makes it bearable.

This class was so much fun, Prof. Zimmerman made us want to come to class. One of the best classes I have taken at Hofstra, he gives really good advice on how to improve your writing. I would definitely take this class again if I could. Prof.Zimmerman is a great guy!!
