Comment:

She is very passionate about entomology and you get to spend a lot of time outside and going on mini field trips. Allows you to work freely on projects and study insect taxonomy during labs. Although I wasn't too interested in the subject matter, the format of the class and her teaching style made the class enjoyable.

Comment:

Dr. Kleintjes is a wonderful lady and is very passionate about what she teaches. I learned a lot in this class, and don't regret taking it. However, she assigns a ton of BS, busy work that is very time consuming. This gets to be a real pain around finals week. Her exams are pretty much straight essay for 5+ pages.

Comment:

Professor Neff was very nice and caring for her students, but she is a little too passionate about conservation bio to the point where it made me dread going to her class. She gets distracted in lecture and doesn't emphasize what's important to know for the tests. So get help on anything you don't understand.

Dr. Kleintjes-Neff is a super passionate teacher! She loves the environment and it really shows through her lectures. She is a mom, so she is always really caring and understanding. The only bad part is she didn't let us use laptops for notes in my freshman class, but overall super great professor!

If you are totally in to environmental issues, TAKE THIS CLASS! I personally was not, and just took the class to meet certain requirements, and it was living hell for me. It was so hard, and I felt like everyone else knew what was going on. Paula is am AMAZING professor who knows what she is talking about, and she is very approachable!

Got A's in college writing classes but Paula's standards are off the charts. She's one of the happiest and nicest people around. The lectures are extremely relaxed an non formal but her expectations for homework is insane. Its one of those situations where the best you can do is a 910 . Directions are open ended yet grading is harsh!

Dr. K is one of the most enthusiastic teachers I have ever had. If I had to take another Biology class, I would try to find one with her as the professor. The tests are long, but they usually aren't challenging if you pay attention in class!

Paula is one of the very best biology professors at UWEC! I've taken two classes with her and she is very caring about her students and makes the topics fun to learn about it. Her classes have definitely been among my top favorites as a biology major! Take 311 if you can!!

Wonderful professor. Weekly article analysis assignments are easy to get good grades on. She's really passionate about the content and you learn so much. She'll make you interested in making a difference in your community and that it's possible to do so. It's awesome.

I love Professor Neff! She's such a nice lady! I hate science and she made me like it. Homework once a week, fairly simple. Exams don't take long to study for, MC, pretty easy. If you need GE credit, TAKE THIS COURSE! Way less work than other 3 cr. science courses, and actually enjoyable!

I went into this class knowing next to nothing and learned a lot. It was the perfect way to start being environmentally conscious. You never use the textbook, her slides are all online, the tests are almost a joke they are so easy, I rarely went and still pulled a B. Take this class if you want an A and some good footing in environmental issues.

Very passionate, which makes all the difference. I hate science, but you can't help but like her enthusiasm. Very nice, laid back, very helpfull. Definately a fun class.
