Not a difficult teacher at all. Very sweet and well spoken, but she can make you lose your interest in her very quickly. Bring something to keep you occupied when you become bored. Other than that she is a wonderful teacher.

She is a great professor!!! Gives extra credit opportunity often. I didn't buy the book. It may be good to buy it but I found the terms for the chapters online which are given out free from the text. All you need! Very good class will take her class in the future

EASY. 5 page papers due every 2 weeks or so, which was kind of a pain. Sooo easy though... no one I know of made less than a 95 on them. She's really boring but it's an easy A. No midterm..final is an essay which she tells you about in advance. Take her.

I would not consider Dr. Geren, boring. Her passion is tempered it's true, but I got the impression that she truly cares about what she is doing... and that makes all the difference in the world to me. I thought the out of class assignments were useful, and helped me connect with what the class was trying to teach.

I loved Dr Geren!!!!! Great class ... despite what others are saying, I think she was awesome!! I really enjoyed everything in this class. The lecture was interactive and engaging unlike PowerPoint teachers who stand and yap. I would recommend her to anyone!! She is trying to get you to think!!!! Show her you can and an A is easy!!!

I hated this class! I hated the lightening quizzes that we had to do. The papers aren't that bad! Dr. Geren is boring, she's kind, but she's extremely boring! Do not expect to learn anything in this class. I recommend someone else if you really want to learn something productive!On the midterm/final be specific!

I enjoyed this class. Dr. Geren is a great teacher. There is a lot of class discussion and all exams are essay's written in class. Other assignments are mostly short response papers and a field experience report. Pretty easy and laid back.

Very sweet, yet extremely boring. If you have a problem with a grade she will usually work with you. She makes you stay every second of class, even if she obviously has nothing else to say. Overall, she was a good teacher!

I like Dr. Geren but her class is a little boring. She is a good professor but does require a lot of busy work including 2 bk reports and 8 Field Experience Reports but they are not hard to do if you have the time. I recomend her but only if you have the time to devote to busy work.

She is an awesome professor! She is extremely knowledgable. My favorite thing about her is her enormous interest in reading. Every class she comes in with books in her arms and several sticky notes throughout each book where she has marked pages. She is wonderful! You want her for either EDUC.
