3 group projects, first time for her teaching HSCI 100, long long long lectures, boring lectures, horrible lecture notes. What else can be said? Oh for some reason.. every single question she gives is about hormones. Expect to read your textbook to learn instead. Classes are useless except for iClicker participation which she forces. Not take again

She was really knowledgable about the material, but her lectures were really long and super boring. Her monotone voice nearly put me to sleep every lecture. Lectures weren't mandatory, though, because she recorded and posted her lecture along with the slides. She does have iclicker participation.

I took the course intersession along with 2 other courses, BIG mistake. She required us to memorize every single detail on every single page of notes...which amounted to 10 pages single spaced per lecture. I had trouble with that kind of detail and I've already done 306. Suffice to say that it was NOT a GPA booster in its intersession form.

Penny is a very organized, mature, and intelligent prof. She speaks eloquently and teaches content well. Exams were at a reasonable difficulty; she is a strict but fair marker. If you put in the effort, you will do well in the course.

Was excited to see she was teaching this after taking KIN110 and acing it 5 years ago. Her lectures are great. Follow her notes, do all her practice questions, and go to all tutorials and she will give you all the info to ace her class, and learn the concepts.

Took it distance ED. Her class is laid out so easy its not even funny. There's quite a few readings for a first-year course but the material is so easy to understand and memorize it's a joke. Half of the midterm was on the final and the questions were so straightforward. Nothing tricky at all.

Everybody is right, kin 110 was a lot of memorization. Its nutrition, what do you really expect? aka suck it up buttercup. I took it via distance, so i didnt get a chance to listen to her lecture. She went way out of her way to help me out. above & beyond. Give her kudos. REALLY cares about her students, as long as you're not a complete snot to her

Completely brutal at forcing us to write notes down by hand instead of allowing us to print them off online (my hand still hurts after every lecture...). I can't believe she punished all the students and was incapable of realizing which ones were the bad ones who weren't paying attention in class. Would it really kill you if you told them to leave?

This course was very interesting, but I can't say that Penny was a great professor. She kicked people out of a huge lecture for talking, frequently raised her voice at students, and the text was pretty much useless. Also, my TA didn't even speak English, making this course not only difficult, but really frustrating too.

She's an amazing prof and her notes are so helpful. The slides have most of the info but attendance is a must because she adds more things in lectures and that is the stuff she tests the most. She loves acronyms. If you go to class and study your notes, you'll get an awesome mark for sure. Highly recommend her.

This was the most horrible class I've ever taken. If you enjoy memorizing pointless details rather than understanding big picture concepts, this course is for you! This beats calc as the worst 8:30am (or any) class I've ever had to take. Booo
