Took this last year as my freshman seminar. Probably the easiest class Ive had here. Penny is a great professor and will literally do anything for you. Three papers and some participation stuff but all easy A's. Definitely take Penny if you can.

Penelope cares so much about her job and how well you do. She's one of the few professors that will look out for you to make sure you do well. 3 papers and you just have to know what's going on in order to pass them. She lets you rewrite them if you don't get an A the first time.

I met Professor Dugan for the first time today when she was packing her office. She was so upbeat and positive about Stockton. She told me to see the world and think about how I could help. She told me to take some of her books. I spent 30 minutes with her and was inspired. I wish I had taken her. I feel like I did have at least one class.

Professor Dugan is one of Stockton's finest. She is so knowledgeable and wants her students to learn. If only other students appreciated her as much as the dedicated students do. You will learn A LOT from her but only if you want to. Participate in discussions and actually read the books. They aren't boring and you'll end up better off in life.

Magical classroom. Never quite sure what would happen but knew it would be good. I never missed a class. Professor Dugan did but one class session with her is better than five with most other profs. She's a real person. Knows alot and has lived alot. I never laughed so much.

TAKE THIS CLASS. only homework is "to read" but I have barely done more than skim the assigned pages & I've gotten by totally fine. Only had one quiz, a take home midterm & take home final. She offers extra credit and she cancelled practically one class per week. get to watch movies in class. easy A, plus Prof Dugan is freaking awesome/hysterical

Professor Dugan isn't the best when it comes to returning assignments. But her teaching makes up for this. She is great at showing her students different viewpoints on the world and the material we cover in class. It was always nice to hear what she had to say. She is always willing to help you as well, no matter what it is about. Highly recommend!

I ran into Prof. Dugan in a bookstore (of course) in Lake Placid (of all places). She looks just like she did when I had her 20 years ago. She remembered my name, but best of all she remembered the name of two of my essays for her class. My kids were there and I was so proud they could see how highly she thought of me.

I had Penny Dugan almost 40 years ago. Everytime I start a new journal, I think of her. She taught me to write. She taught me to think. She absolutely believed in and love us all. I'm surprised she's still teaching. She must be close to 70. But then I'm not surprised. You are all lucky to still have her.

Conservatives: DO NOT take her class. Opinionated liberal who constantly downs Conservative views. All the books are about Liberals & written by Liberals so it was annoying. The class was not interesting &only focused on African American marginalization instead of other groups.8 classes have been canceled. She is a sweet person, but a bad teacher.

I had class with P. Dugan ten years ago, and I still think about the books we read and the things I learned. The class was African-Amer Women Writers. I had no interest in the subject before taking her class, but her ability to get students to talk about uncomfortable topics and think critically opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking.
