The guy has some crazy stories to tell, but the TAs do the grading, and everything's based on 3 exams... Good luck getting anything above a B!

Very good prof. If you have questions, she is very willing to answer. The class material is very interesting. The class is not difficult if you consistently attend class. Exam questions mainly comes from homework and assignment.

Adler is a cool guy, but a horrible prof. I'd rather go to lunch with him than have him try to teach a class. The TA's rule the world for him, and they're really, REALLY unhelpful.

Alder is hilarious. He's a great lecturer and will make the class entertaining. His tests, even though they are open notes, can be difficult. It's a MUST to attend class and complete the readings. If you do both, you should be fine for the tests. Keep in mind that the only grades for the class are the tests. I definitely recommend taking his class.

Adler is a great guy. He's passionate about what he does and is definitely an expert in his field. Unfortunately, his grading policies and TA's ruined the class. The expectations aren't clear and the TA's make unbelievable grading errors.

He gave horrible notes, tests were super hard. He does offer forgiveness points, so if you are borderline he will just raise your grade. He is very approachable, he wants to see his students get good grades. But you have to put a lot of time into the class to get a good grade.

Adler isn't that hard of a grader. I skimmed everything that was assigned and payed attention in class. I got an A on the tests and we had open book and open notes. Not as hard as it seems if you're willing to do the work. And he's super funny and willing to work with people if they need help

Adler is a great teacher. You need to read and attend class because that is what the test material is made up of and there are only tests (at least in understanding social life).

took him for drugs and society. he is a really good prof and entertaining, but a REALLY and i mean REALLY hard grader. you will not get an A on the tests or papers. Be happy if you pass. Not a slack off class so dont do it if you are not majoring in soci or love the topic. again, really cool guy, really hard grader.

Adler is the BEST and most inspirational professor I have ever encountered. His courses are fascinating and intellectually challenging. His Race and Ethnicity course literally changed my life. These classes are for people who enjoy learning. He is not afraid to be controversial and honest which sets him apart from other profs. Take an Adler class!!

He spent the entire class talking about his family and how amazing his TAs are (who by the way are almost all blonde girls). Then he tests you over random specifics from the reading and what pants he was wearing last tuesday. he gets way too personal with evreything and i dont feel like i learned anything.

Adler is one of the best professors I've ever had. He is crazy, but in a good way by keeping classes beyond interesting. Yes, his tests are hard and you have to do the reading, but the reading is interesting. He wants you to do well and is extremely helpful. Don't think twice about taking any class of his-just take it! You'll be happy

Adler is DISGUSTING!! He talks about himself and his family all class then tests you over very specific stuff from the readings. His TA's are all little, blonde, girls, he wears clothes to class that show his stomach, and he talks about how he still does drugs. I took 3 of his classes because I had to for my major so I can say, DO NOT TAKE HIM!!

DEFINITELY do all of the readings assigned and know them completely. The tests are extremely challenging and are on very specific pieces from the readings and lectures. He talks so fast and its difficult to catch everything he is saying in notes. Overall he's a pretty good teacher but the three tests you have all term are so hard.

Adler is a great professor. He knows what he's talking about and you learn a TON. His tests are hard, yes, but its worth it! Do the reading, it gets to be a lot at times but it's so interesting that it doesn't even matter. You will use what you learn in this class in almost all your other classes, it's very applicable! TAKE THIS CLASS!! loved it!
