Comment:

This class saved my GPA!! He's a great professor. He would take off only 2 points at most for everything. If you can't get an A with him you have bigger issues. Take his course, you won't regret it (tip: take it online though)

Comment:

Its hard to describe Bach. He can be enjoyable sometimes but for the majority he was a bit abrasive. He makes what he wants from your assignments very clear though, and his lectures are relevant with the occasional off-topic discussion. But to say it was an overall nice or even just fine experience would be a bit of a stretch.

Be ready to read 50 pages a week. His quizzes and exams are the worst, fill in the blank questions from some random line in the textbook. You can take them twice but at the end, he will not tell you what questions you got wrong or right so will learn nothing. He will just tell you to read the material again. Save you GPA, do not take his class.

I think he should have higher rating, He's a very nice teacher. Yes he can sound sarcastic but he's just joking around! I got an A+ and his tests are all online and easy. I did feel like I learned with him. Show up to class, do your work, you will be perfectly fine.

Comment:

Bach's online Government class requires a few assignments, intensive reading, and a city council report. There are few assignments given; however, the ones that must be completed are comprehensive over the given articles. He grades very near to the rubric; however, these assignments can be difficult to complete thoroughly.

I took GOVT 2306 & 2305 with Dr. Bach. If I had to take another class that he teaches I'd take it with him as well! I got an A+ in both! I can understand why he rubs people the wrong way. Maybe it's just the way he expresses himself when he speaks, it's a bit abrupt but I know he doesn't do it to be mean :p I think he's great! :) But take online!;)

I love this professor! His class is just too easy lol I would recommend that if you want a high gpa that you should take him! But I would say that you should take the online class. It's really simple and easy to pass. He gives plenty extra credit to bring up your grade by a whole letter and a half! So if you are getting a C+ you can get an A- :)

an A in this class doesn't mean you learned anything! Although the assignments were interesting, they taught nothing about FED GOVT. No need to participate, just show up and do your assigned work and you'll pass but expect to be called out (embarrassingly, harshly) for any given reason. Lectures are boring. I wouldn't recommend.

ITS NOT THAT HES SUCH OF A BAD TEACHER. HE JUST HAS A VERY STRONG ACCENT AND ITS VERY HARD TO STAY FOCUSED ON HIS LECTURES IT MAKES IT FEEL LIKE FOREVER.

I can believe Dr. Bach's rating is 2.9! He deserves much higher I think! I have taken two classes with him already and haven't had any problems. He gives more than enough extra credit and plenty of time for each test and two chances too! He's an easy grader and allows you to work ahead (:I learned more than I ever knew about Gov thanks 2 his class

It's true that he gives mandatory grades for off-campus activities but gives enough time to arrange ur schedule & even if ur unable to attend, he gives enough extra credit to make up for the lack of the off-campus assignments! He is the most lenient teacher I have had. If you don't do an assignment correctly he takes off like what 2 or 5 points?

He is the best teacher ever!!! He is nice, understanding, and fair! A bit strict but if you aren't SUPER lazy (I'm a bit lazy) there is NO WAY that you cannot pass this class! The quizzes are easy and you can retake them again if you need to. I retook most of them hehe! The best thing ever is that there are many options to earn extra credit yay!

Anyone who says this guy is a good professor is a complete liar! Don't get me wrong, this class is as easy as you can make it,but i don't agree with his strict rules. If you're a person who is busy throughout the week don't take this class. he gives you mandatory grades for off campus activity, also he's a nag to anybody he doesn't like.

Although he has strict rules, if you follow them and participate in his lectures he will let you get away with anything. He is also very understanding, this semester I suffered medical issues and he gave me extensions and excused my absences. Just make sure you email him if you want to skip class.

I could find any teacher more helpful, doesn't take into consideration anything but his class. This is the second course of his that I have taken; I thoroughly regret it. If put on academic probation it's because of this course. There is no lineancy here. I took it just to get the credit, I would've picked all zeros but it wasn't an option.

Gabriel Bach is a great teacher. He has knowledge on politics and urges students to be more involved with it. He goes beyond what the text book says and make sure he brings in speakers to get more insight to government. He clearly explains what assignments are needed and when, BUT make sure you do the first assignment, it is due the 2nd day of cls

The worst experience ever in my 2 years of college at North Lake. Let me summarize his class for you: 1) No attendance, points are cut. Need to notify him 48hours earlier if unable to attend class. 2)More of coursework than actual learning. 3) Discusses current events in Texas rather than actually teaching. 4) I learned nothing in this class.
