Took him fall 2003. From what I remember as a freshman, he gave A LOT of work (so if you want an easy grade NOT FOR YOU) His class will improve writing and researching skills that can help you with other courses. Good choice for incoming freshmans who want to get their feet wet!

He is a very nice guy outside of class, and is extremely helpful. I had a situation and he was understanding and there; I'll never forget that. However, he gives a whole heck of a lot of work. If you are not up to doing a few papers a night (literally) don't take him. Loved my writing though. Def +

Very good teacher. Gives a lot of work, but if you do it you're in the clear. You can miss every single class and still get a good grade. I had 7 am class and I NEVER went yet i got an A. TAKE HIS CLASS YOU NEVER NEED TO GO...what else could you ask for.

He is cool as a person. However, you get a ridiculous amount of work, most of which doesn't count unless you DON'T do it. Meaning, it doesn't matter if you do it, but if you don't do it you get points off. On top of that he grades very harshly.

His method is to let the students teach the class. So rather then have many days working, you only have that one day per semester. Three semi difficult papers were due in the class. I recommend this professor.
