Dr Baxter is a professor that really cares about his students and wants them to succeed in life. This course is not easy but not hard either. He is very air with his work and exams. I took this course because I had a slight interest in law. Now, I have a minor in pre-law due to Dr Baxter's course.

He has a belief that if you take him just once you are family and his teaching style and out of class relationship with his students really reflects that. He is an amazing person I have taken him for 3 classes and do not regret a second. He really knows his stuff and is willing to share it and help you understand the law better. He is Family.

Baxter's a great teacher. Had him for intro, the guy;s hilarious and tells it like it is. You learn what you need to from the lectures, alot of case briefs but it's good practice for law school. As long as you do the work in his class and come prepared you will do well but you do need to do the work. Good guy, highly reccomend the class

took Intro to Law/Gay Rights w/ him. Both courses are hard and rigorous. intro= lengthy tests (84-96?'s or more). Gay Rights (avg 50 ? test). Moot court for GR. Both courses = no final. 3-4 tests each class. he's funny/loud. impossible to fall asleep. pc friendly courses. can't go wrong taking Baxter.

He's a great teacher. Really fun guy to be around and has a unique way of teaching his classes. It maybe harder than most classes, but he is a must take! Just do your work and participate. He is my favorite teacher of all time at NU and if you need help dont be afraid to ask. I still talk to him and sit in on other classes of his that im not taking

I have had Dr. B in a number of courses, five in total. Do not cross this man. Let me say this again: DO NOT CROSS THIS MAN. If you do your work, do not openly insult others in class, and maintain a level of interest that is both reasonable and expected you can hope to do phenomenally when in his courses. 5/5

I took several classe with Dr. Baxter almost 10 years ago. I am still drawin on info I learned from him and his annecdotes really help to drive his point home and help me to remember the course content now. FYI I changed majors but took his Political sciences as electives because it was actually enjoyable. Oh and show up on St. Patrick's Day!

Terrific Guy - I heard he's been getting soft lately in regards to how strict he used to be (strictness is an important element in law school), but overall Baxter is a great person, a great professor, and will make you a better person in and outside of the classroom. now here's the MOST important part - DO NOT GET ON HIS BAD SIDE! that's all

Dr.Baxter is an amazing prof and person. As a Canadian I knew nothing and he was very helpful and encouraging! Without his extra help I doubt I would have done well in this class. I thought the class was hard but then again I am Canadian. Baxter is very funny and I always looked forward to coming to class. I love Baxter!
