Comment:

Such an easy class. I took this over the winter break and it was a very interesting and enjoyable class. Never read the textbook and always received 90s. Listening and writing journals are basically opinion based. Answers to all the exams are online and if not they can easily be found in the textbook. If you want an easy A take this class.

great knowledge, experience, a real pillar of the music department. can be passive aggressive sometimes but he has a busy life too. Sometimes too enthusiastic which can be good and bad. knows how to teach the most difficult of subjects and material. I wouldn't take a class with him again for personal reasons, but otherwise would highly recommend

He is by far one of the most encouraging and motivating people I have come across at my time at Westfield. He has helped me build my musicianship to a level I never thought I could achieve. He is a brilliant and talented person and cares so much about each individual student that crosses his path. Definitely recommend for any music class!

I took History of Jazz with Dr. C. I really enjoyed the material and what I learned. There was a lot of work but the professor was always willing to assist if I needed it. Great class but be prepared to put a lot of time into it. There are weekly assignments, posts to do and tests. You will also have to do a mid and final exam. Took Sum 2.

He cares about all his students. He does move a little fast. He can be a little intimidating at times, but he is a great professor. He does give homework on a regularly basis, but it's not a lot. As long as you show up and try your best you will do should be ok in his class. If you have any questions, he is always there to help.

I had Dr. C for theory and also for percussion. His theory classes can be tough, but he makes sure that everyone understands what he's teaching. His percussion lessons are awesome. Very encouraging & helpful.
