He's a good teacher, just be prepared to hit the library for the papers. He offers to go over your drafts; take him up on this offer, for I felt that the paper was the hardest part of the class. The final was somewhat difficult, being mostly long answers, but they gave you many questions to answer.

Peter and Penny make this class really interesting. They are excellent instructors! The exams are very straightforward (right out of the class notes, NO curve balls) and you are allowed to turn in a rough draft of your term paper for feedback before it's due. I would highly recommend them for this class!

Friendly, approachable, wants students to do well and will gladly help you. Co-teaches with Penny Gullan. Exams are straight from the lecture material (contrary to the bad reviews) -I've taken two of his classes and I can tell you that grading is very fair. He's also funny sometimes. Don't BS the term papers, don't slack off, and you'll be fine.

Terrible professor to have. He makes you want to puke at biodiversity from the way to talks about it. Extremely boring overall and hard-earned grades. A good class to take for those who have insomnia.

In order to get a good grade, you have to be ridiculously skillful in writing. The termpapers are the WORST because he looks at every sentence and judge it with negative criticisms. He is unclear on his materials and speak so only he can understand.
