he have u purchase 2 textbooks Does not tell you exactly what chapter to read. All he says is read the book. He does not follow the syllabus. And the he is not transparent when it comes to grading. Almost everyone in the class seem to have been confuse on the final paper. The final paper was 10 pages no guidance at all. Take class with someoneelse

Professor Craumer is very knowledgeable and he genuinely cares about the material he teaches. His lectures may seem boring but they are actually very interesting and very relevant in the real world. He is very helpful and always reads students' emails (replies to them most of the time too). Don't be afraid to ask questions, he wants to help!

Professor Craumer was one of my favorite online professors. Syllabus is clear & detailed. Two quizzes and assignments are dropped at the end. He was very responsive to emails and gave some great feedback on discussion posts and papers. Each week there is an assignment & quiz. We had 4 papers but one was a course reflection. Easy class

Dr. Craumer is one of the best professors I've had at FIU. His lectures fill up the entire class time so it is VERY important that you show up ready to participate and take notes. Get the textbook and read it because the content will help you answer the test questions. He's a fair grader and he explains all assignments in detail. Take him.

I had to take a class with this guy as an INR requirement (pop and society) and just ended up failing it. His test reviews are 8 pages w/ 100+ questions, and his tests are only open answer- answers have to be only from what he says during lectures. His lectures are confusing b/c he never refrains from going off topic. EXTREMELY tough grader.

His classes are based on his lectures which are very quick and have a lot of detail. But don't let that scare you! He's a pretty lenient grader and grades on huge curves. But you still need to sit down and study. I really enjoyed the class; I learned so much about how one thing can affect a million other things in the world.

People talk so bad about him, but it's probably coming from those who didn't care enough. Yes he speaks fast so I recorded his lectures. Its helped me pass his last 2 exams. Blackboard quizzes aren't bad, map quizzes you need to study. HE CURVES THE EXAMS BTW. But recording his lectures really help, they're similar to the exam grades trust me

I wish more teachers were like him to be honest. The tests for Geography of Global Change were all free-response due to how complicated the world is. This allows us to tackle the questions from multiple angles rather than some generic multiple choice test. I really enjoyed the class overall. You become more aware of how one action impacts the world

Such an amazing professor. He really cares about what he is teaching and it's somewhat touching. He follows the syllabus to a 'T' so don't expect any extra credit if it doesn't mention it. I recommend going to his office hours before exams to help better prepare you! Would take again.

There should be a prerequisite class before this, he assumes you know everything about world population and ancient history. He goes off topic and doesn't speak clearly. No slideshow to help you take notes. Only have 3 graded things, a midterm, final and a project. According to him it's normal to fail his exams, he should reevaluate his teaching.

Only 3 grades: midterm, final & a project. If you fail one you're screwed, he doesn't give extra credit. His study guides are complicated and don't help. The slides he puts up with his lectures don't have important points, it's just graphs. The instructions for the project were unclear and he didn't answer my questions. Don't take this class.

You should read the articles he provides for this course. He will take some points off if you do not come to class. This class is SUPER interesting. You must do a good job on all three test and the term paper to do well in this course.

Craumer's 2 tests will be based on the class notes you take. The only other grade is his project (most important). Make sure to work on it (or you won't have enough time)!! He will give you very specificity instructions on how to do it, answering all your questions. He's very passionate about what he's teaching. Don't be afraid to ask him for help.

My entire class went into this course thinking it would be easy and interesting... we were wrong. I took this course as a UCC Requirement, not even specifically for my major and I regret it. He lost half his grade by the last day to drop and then the remaining students, except for like 3, received D+s or lower. He is confusing and gets off-topic.

He is a nice Professor with knowledge on the course, but do not go into this expecting to receive a relevant education outside of the field of Geography. I am a senior in INR and this course is required, but I am learning 8th grade level Earth Sciences. Don't take it unless you have to or have interest in the topic.

Very knowledgeable, uses every second of class to lecture. Attendance is key to pass the midterm and final because most of it is based off his lecture. The Census project is very tedious;I encourage whomever that is planning on taking his class to start early. I have a set of typed up notes to help anyone with the final exam. Feel free to contact.

This is a REAL University course with a REAL University professor at the helm! No, it's not easy. The tests ARE difficult, but he's amazingly generous with his grading curves. The project is not easy. The course is akin to waiting to get on a terrifying roller coaster: It was all fun in the end. Push yourself to the next level: Take Craumer.
