I agree with the comment just below. But I think it should be emphasized how much Mr. Davis cares about his students. He's very enthusiastic about the possibilities of the department. I can see his scatterbrained personality and disorganization, but he's definitely a professor of the the students. If you give something to the class he will too.

Mr. Davis is a really nice guy, but you have to know how to rub him, otherwise he can treat you like crap. Sometimes he makes a bigger deal out of missing a ban rehearsal than is necessary, and he's known for throwing unpredictable fits. But he's definitely the most helpful and sane member of the music department.

davis has been my advisor and teacher since freshmen year and can sometimes be difficult, but generally is really fair and willing to help in anyway. he's frickin' hilarious. ps. he loves napoleon dynamite.

This is an honest review first of all. Davis is a really nice guy at first, but he is known for letting down his students. I graduated as a music minor from the class of 2004, and I was let down by his lack of professionalism and teaching.
