Comment:

Prof. Fong is the greatest. His class is fun and you never actually have to read the textbook. His quizzes and exams are on what he talks about in class. If you skip class, you won't do well. 10/10 would recommend. I will be taking another class with him.

Comment:

Overall a great instructor. His lectures are interesting and he clearly has a passion for biology. A bit eccentric, and at times a little uncomfortable... the man LOVES to talk about sex (even when its not really relevant). But he really is clear with his expectations and the tests are easy as long as you go to class and take detailed notes.

Fong is by far my favorite teacher here. His lectures are interactive and entertaining. He gives "pop" quizzes every Friday. Make sure to take notes during lecture because his tests/quizzes are based on that and not the textbook. You can do well in his class as long as you pay attention. He's a bit eccentric but I learn so much info in every class

Prof Fong seems to love what he does, but in the sense of being a scientist, not a professor. He doesn't empathize with his students and lacks professionalism and discreteness. After grading exams and quizzes(which are given every Friday even the first week) he would spread them out for everyone to grab theirs and see others grades. So unnecessary.

Peter Fong is a great professor. He usually gives one pop quiz per week on the same day every week so if you review your notes you will be fine. His tests are usually easier than the quizzes. He explains things very clear and in an interesting way.

I had Dr. Fong for invertebrate zoology and he was a really great professor. He really cared. His lectures were a bit long, but he made them interesting with pictures and videos; they were also very clear. I didn't open my book after then first day: all of the information he gives you on the handout is everything you need to know for the exam.

Very helpful teacher, have to put in alot of hours outside of class to do well, he answers to emails almost immediately. I started off with a D in the class and ended with a B and Fong told me I could do it and he was going to help me get there. If you are willing to put in time and effort you will learn a lot

I love this man! He reminds me of Kermit the Frog. He was my advisor, and was always so helpful and responds to emails very quickly. He's a little out there, but a lot of science professors are. Overall, I found both his lectures and labs very interesting, but you will have to work for a good grade.

He was not available much and basically said things once and that was it. DIdn't seem to really care about the students. He's also very arrogant and kinda made me dislike biologists even tho I'm a bio major.... Wouldn't recommend

Loved the class, very clear and easy to understand. Fong is fairly entertaining, he talked about sex a ton at first but didn't at all after the first month. The tests are the easiest thing ever but the quizzes are VERY hard, he asks really specific questions on quizzes but tends to focus on broader topics for the exams.

While he might be able to teach the material and gives good explanations, he is a jerk. His class is pretty funny and all he talks about is worm sex, but dont let that fool you. He is a jerk outside class and makes you feel like an idiot. Hates people who aren't bio majors and his tests are near impossible. He is arrogant+ is no help out of class.

Fong is GREAT. He is funny and clear. He makes lecture, especially 8 am, very interesting and he's really takes the time to help you if you need it and get to know you as a person. He is committed to his students and is really good at explaining things more than one way even though he may do some crazy stunt to get his point across.
