Goldman is a great professor and you can tell he is very interested in biology. He's really nice and willing to help if you don't understand something. His tests are tough and are usually 3-4 essay questions off of the material covered in lecture. He expects you to use a lot of detail in your answers but he writes feedback on every test.

Goldman is a unique character. Buy the textbook and read it but most of his test questions come from what he says in lecture. His word is God so take good notes. Lab is easy and just try not to fall asleep.

I at the beginning of the semester I hated this class, but by the end I loved it. The keys are: pay attention in lectures, act like you like him, and be detailed when answering questions. Tests are entirely short answer, the more you write the better you'll do. I didn't learn much about biology, but I got A's on the tests once I figured it out.

Do what ever you can, change your classes, switch majors, drop out of school, DO NOT TAKE GOLDMAN. Tests are insane because they're over the random thoughts he has in class, never read the book, didn't learn A THING in his class.

Professor Goldman is a great teacher. Sometimes it can seem he is going off topic in lectures yet everything correlates at the end. Study hard from the lectures and a little from the book. Always go to class. Getting a A is rare. But work hard and a B is manageable. I came in hating biology and now really enjoy the topics we covered.

Prof. Goldman is really nice and willing to help, as are the TA's. He really loves the subject. Take notes on everything he says and don't miss class or you'll be really behind. Lab attendance is mandatory. His tests are all essay questions and pretty hard. Getting an 'A' on his tests is really rare. Study from his lectures, not the book.

He's a nice guy and willing to help, however he doesn't believe in 100%. His tests consist of 4 essay questions and no matter how hard you study, it's impossible to get over a 90% at least. He does offer points however to make up for these failings, but the average on the last test was a 67% and there is only so much you can improve from that.

Took this class my first semester here at Truman and liked the class yet struggled to make the grades. He's not easy but he's a lot of fun in class. He's also very helpful if you make the time to go and see him after class. I say hi to him every time I see him in the halls and he still remembers me. Great professor and great guy.

Really funny guy and cool teacher. 2 papers and 4 essay tests make for the grade. If a lot of people do bad on one test he helps you out..i.e. bonus or throw out that test, etc. Doesn't make you fill out stuff to turn in during lab. Gives decent notes and is very helpful in his office hours.

Dr. Goldman is awesome! He really loves what he teaches and it shows. The class isn't for slackers; neither is Truman. There is work, but it's manageable if you: take very good notes, skim/read the chapters, and just pay attention! He's really nice and funny too, I loved the class.

Professor Goldman is great. Throughout this semester, I could tell he cares very much about his work here at Truman and about his students. If I hadn't changed to an English major because of my lack of interest in Biology, I would definitely like to have taken another one of his classes.

Goldman is a fun professor and is very good at teaching complicated concepts clearly. However, Bio 108 is a very difficult course packed with loads of material. All bio classes take the exact same lab exam and Goldman did not prepare our class as well as the other classes. I finally brought my grade up by studying with people who had a diff prof.

Dr. Goldman is this crazy bird watcher. He is however, a great teacher and really cares about his students. Anytime I ever had a question and would stop by his office he always made me feel welcome. This class is NOT easy but its fun and its nice to have a prof that really cares about you!

Once turned me away when I asked for help--said he would not help me. Tests truly had very little to do with what was discussed in class. I once got 13 out of 120 on a test and I'm a bio major.

Dr. Goldman is a really quirky guy and can be quite amusing. His obssession with birds certainly comes through in his lecture examples, it is slightly creepy. His tests are all essay 4-6 questions. I wouldn't call them easy but I got an A on all of them. Study the lecture notes and read the book and you'll be fine. Oh, and the lab reports suck.

Goldman is an old skinny guy who is hilarious! He makes class entertaining and has some of the funniest faces. He'll help you out with any question or problem you might have anytime. Only downer is his tests.. they're completely written rather than mulitple choice and he can grade them relatively hard.

Peter Goldman is a great professor. He is this crazy bird watcher and brings that up a lot. He made intro to biology I fun. Tests are all essay, but if you know your stuff, it's not difficult. Labs are kind of boring, and he is a tough grader on Lab papers. I would take him again if I had the chance.

Haaaaard class. His teaching style is soo random you never know what's just a tanget and what's actually important to know for the SUPER HARD essay tests. The fewer examples you give, the lower your grade. He's very knowledgeable, but he just can't teach it well. But he does keep class semi-interesting with his very sexually-charged sense of humor.

His tests are based mostly on his lectures and are super difficult being essay style...but he REALLY cares about his students (willing to help anytime you get confused and has a great sense of humor) His jokes/stories keep you awake and makes the lectures interesting. He teaches his students how to think like biologists. Neat guy.
