Not a very good teacher. He talks too fast/mumbles. He goes over the PowerPoint slides too fast and he basically just teaches by reading back the textbook to you. Also one time in class he stopped teaching because I took my phone under my desk for about 20 sec to send a text. He came over and ripped it out of my hands and slammed it on my desk.

Very condescending when you ask questions. not at all helpful and does not let you know about every homework assignment, causing you to miss some unless you're really good about checking online every day. Tends to lash out unexpectedly too.

He is a really nice & funny guy, but he is very difficult to understand sometimes. He talks too fast, thinks everyone understands all the problems. Also, it seems like he gives the easy problems in class and HARDEST questions on quizzes and tests. Slides are too fast, can't write anything down. Good thing about him is he gives extra credit. DO IT!!

Schaber is a great guy and I've heard that is more advanced courses are more interesting and better taught. However, my experience in Gen Chem has been a nightmare. If you like to have assigned reading rather than reading on your own, don't choose him. He also can be difficult to understand in class, but he is very willing to give you advice!

The worst teacher I've ever had in my life. He mumbles and talks too fast. He doesn't allow you to write any notes from his slides because he changes them too quickly. He just repeats what is in the textbook. He knows chem but doesn't know how to teach it

One of the laziest teachers ever! Instead of giving notes for class he just puts the text book on the dot cam and flips pages and points to stuff. If you want to do well you have to read the text carefully, but it is so boring! Class average for test were usually in the 60s! Don't take this class if you can avoid it. take PCHM II instead!

Excellent teacher. Knows his chemistry for sure. Lets you use notecards on the quizzes, which can be a big help. No other teacher allows this. Be prepared to read, study, and do the homework assignments. He also gives lots of extra credit opportunities, which are test points. Just don't do them in class like I did. Good teacher, take Schaber.

He stutters so it may make him hard to hear at times but overall nicest man alive! If you took general chem in HS, this class is just a repeat of it. You can have an index card of whatever you want on each of the test! Says he takes attendance but really doesn't. If you don't go, read the book and you'll do fine!!

doesn't talk very clearly. nice guy but doesn't bring enough of his own examples to class. just chooses them from the ones that are already solved in the textbook and goes through them orally rather than solving them on the board. no hw. just go over as many examples as possible.

Even though i didn't pass the class the teacher is the best one in chem department. Not very helpful outside the class since his time is not flexible. The first week seems easy until the "drop" period is over, and then u basically have to go through hell. My addvice to you: go to class, read alot and at the same time fill out the blackboard printou

Subject is pretty boring but he clarifies everything n tries to make it interesting. lots of excredit- really helps ur grade! def the best choice for gen chem- steve sucks and u have 2 b able to understand kozik to take him...schabers the best! (just make sure u do the work!!! thats how u get a good grade)

Super Schaber!! Good teacher...best choice for gen chem bc he gives lots of extra credit! The tests are hard but all the classes take the same test so you are better off taking him and at least getting some extra credit!
