One of the worst professors at Seton Hall, reads off powerpoints and all the material you have to learn is basically self taught. Yes she has knowledge of art history but when it comes to reciprocating it to her students she fails epically.

I don't even remember what I was supposed to be doing in this course. We just sit there while she goes through poorly put together powerpoints that don't adhere to basic graphic design practices in places. There's also no computers allowed and buying the textbook was pointless since all of the things we needed to know for exams are on the (pt. 1)

I had this class once a week at night, so I wasn't excited for it. However, she made it more bearable. Go to class because the powerpoints are A LOT to go through by yourself. In class she points out what you have to know for the test and gives direct definitions. Grading criteria for essays and projects were vague but overall good prof.

Horrible. I had taken her before and was reminded my I didn't enjoy her as a professor the first time around. She likes to put on a performance rather then speak straight and to the point. It would help if she focused on the class rather than have her eyes wondering around the ceiling.

Such a good professor! She gives you assignments ahead of time so that you have weeks to do them. Her quizzes are so easy, they just involve terms and definitions. She's such an easy grader and she has multiple extra credit opportunities! She posts all slides online so you don't really have to pay attention in class. Would totally take her again!

She's so unclear about how she is going to grade you that it is almost impossible to get a perfect grade. For example, she took ten points off of our group project because the "font was too small" but said nothing about font size priorassignment being due. Overall an easy, but SUPER annoying class to take.

She's an odd individual. Definitely something up with her. It's an incredibly boring class. But it's easy if you just study what she tells you. Bring a pillow because you will fall asleep.

Professor Nichols is pretty knowledgeable in the subject and it shows. It's better to read so that you could follow the slides and do better on the midterm and final. Make sure you take notes from the slides and know the vocab from the book. You do get some projects that involve going off campus and being in a group, but they're not too bad.

I am in love with her. Took her twice and she's one of the sweetest professors at SHU. Makes class interesting in her enthusiasm for the subject. This woman gets into the soul of art and acts it out. Assignments are interesting and tests/quizzes aren't too painful if you study a bit. Very often boosts students at the end. Get on her good side.

Overall pretty easy class. Only a few quizzes and a few papers. In this class she made us go to the MET and write stuff about it. Attendance is very important. All in all, this class was alright.

My favorite teacher at the University. She is too hot. She gets so into what she's teaching, I just LOVE HER. She requires work but not a WHOLE lot. Towards the end her stuff is hard but she's great otherwise.

Very sweet lady that is passionate about art. Makes learning the info more interesting. Asks the class questions to get students involved. Just make sure to take lots of notes. Try not to miss any classes cause she discusses important info that is directly on the tests.

Mandatory attendance, no laptops, very boring material (if you're not into art) so sitting through mandatory classes can be tough with no internet, but she is a nice lady and helpful, midterm and final are easy A's but require lots of memorization on your part (title of painting, artist, year, location, etc)

Dr. Nichols is one of the best professors I've ever had. Clear, precise, easy, understanding, passionate. Extremely nice. Tests are reasonable. Paper is easy to do. She gives you everything that will be on the test. So friendly. Attendance is mandatory but going to class will definitely pay off on the test. Don't bother buying the book.
