He's decent tbh. If you want a good laugh take him but you won't learn anything at all. He is the only professor teaching the class but still you're better off just going to the next class instead. His grading is whatever, 8 total projects Worth 15 points and the final exam worth 30 points.

Comment:

The projects are a bit difficult if you've never tried coding before, but he explains it pretty well. He goes by the book, which gives a lot of detail on how to do the codes. He can also be a bit sarcastic, but it's mostly to keep the class interesting. He's also helpful, telling you how to fix errors if you have any. No tests, just weekly projects

Piece of cake. Take notes when he's lecturing and use your notes when starting your project. What he shows you in the lecture, you simply have to replicate it. You'll just need the book to see what project asks for. If you didn't turn in projects, he'll accept them on the day of the final. So get networking and remember to change the names ;)

Professor Watson is a good teacher. He knows what he is talking about and the projects are straightforward and from the book. He is so willing to help and stay after lab until you have a solid project. No midterm or test just 8 projects and the 9th being your final project. Super easy grader. Easy A.

Great lectures. Great sense of humor. Just be willing to work and take some notes and youll be okay. Not too hard, just time consuming at times. Overall enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Watson is a fantastic professor despite some of the comments here. Came in to the class knowing close to nothing about programming and left with valuable information. If you're sensitive then you're not going to have a good time because he can be sarcastic. If you have a funny bone and can take some criticism then prepare for a great quarter.

The lectures seemed to drag on and he would usually go off topic. First thing he would ask when he walks into lecture is if there were any questions that the students needed answering. The book is essential most of the coding can be found in there. You have to get to know people in there if not you seem kinda loss.

Took this dude in Winter 2012 for CSE 125. He is condescending towards his students. I didn't like him much. Too bad he's the only one that teaches this entry level course. FYI and CSE majors try and take Dr. Zemoudeh for everything. He will really teach you but you'll have to earn it. Watson is wack avoid this dude.

He knows what he is teaching about; I was able to attend class once a week (instead of 2) and lab once a week and still pass with an A. The book is very useful and will help (helped me lots) with all the projects that are assigned. He is helpful when you are completely lost. If you understand the concept, he will let you figure it out on your own.

Taking him for spring 2012, he's very helpful. He'll point out the wrongs in your project and tell you to fix it and he'll come back and re-check it again. Projects he does accept late except on the final. Don't be afraid to ask him what's wrong with it because he will certainly come help you with it! Wonderful professor. Very sarcastic. Haha!

Extremely helpful! I can not stress it enough. He will point out what's wrong and asks you to fix it. Really easy going you can turn in your projects whenever you want except the final. If you're emotional and sensitive do not take this class because he is sarcastic at times but that's just how he is.
