Philip's lectures were quite dry and showing up the lectures really was not necessary. You can read the notes online, read the textbook and show up for the tests and do very well. There is an online discussion component which is important to complete but overall this course is fairly easy if you do the readings and understand the concepts.

Awesome prof and clearly knows what he is talking about. It is straight lecture but it's very interesting and you really do learn so much from him. Not an easy course but putting in the time and effort will pay off.

Dr. Davis is THE most knowledgable professor I have ever had. He is a human textbook! Not only is he knowledgable, he's also very likeable, funny (in his own dry style), and friendly. Although it takes some time to get used to his lecture style (little to no visuals), I would highly recommend taking him for Religious Studies.

Prof Davis is an extremely wonderful teacher. He can take a 30 page chapter and explain it better in a few short sentances. Probably the best prof that you will ever take. I enjoyed his class more than most good movies! He's a great person who will help you however he can too. Take his class!
