Good prof. who is there for you after class. Maybe overuses videos, or lectures run long, but they are always relevant to political history and introducing basic american concepts. It helped me to get interested in a few aspects of his intro course rather than get frustrated with the vast generalizations of a POL111.

I took Dr. Henderson's class as a freshman and it was an outstanding introduction to American gov. He used texts that are critical to understanding American gov historically (The Federalist) and currently. He is an expert on the presidency - especially Washington, Lincoln, and Eisenhower. He loves what he teaches - I would take any class he offers.

Henderson is one of my favorite professors at CUA, and my only regret is not taking more of his classes. His passion for this subject is evident, and if you take the time to actually do the work, you'll learn a great deal about the national security process. Do the work, and it will be more than worthwhile!

I loved this class! As a philosophy major, I had little spare time for my other classes, but I always set aside time for government. Our readings were always interesting and his lectures never put me to sleep. I highly recommend any student to take his class.

Dr. Henderson is one of the nicest professors at CUA. His is EXTREMELY intelligent and knows just about there is to know when it comes to American Government. On the other hand, he should not, by any means, have a politics class in the 100s level. His lectures are literally all over the place and you leave class more confused than when you arrived.

Henderson is a brilliant guy. However, his lectures are scattered, hard to follow, and lack interest. He gives you the exact test questions before the test. The answers are usually hidden in his lectures or handouts.

Dr. Henderson is fantastic! He's so passionate about American Gov., and wants to impart his knowledge on his students. If you go to class and do the readings, you'll do very well. Get to know him by going to office hours and sending him emails, especially if he's your advisor!-he's REALLY friendly and caring, and will do anything for his students.

He is a very good teacher. I highly recommend him. If you do your work you will do fine. However, he fails people. So if you are lazy you may fail. If you do your readings and go to class you will get an A or a good grade. His lectures usually are off topic but he allows computers in class and you can talk to him in private if you don't understand.

I love this man. My favorite professor, but to get by, you better be able to compaer US Presidents to baseball and football stars. And if you don't worship at the altar of Ike Eisenhower, you better find another professor.

Most considerate and nicest guy! Show up to class and do the readings, you'll end up with a great source for letters of recommendation-and of course an A.The only reason for ANY professor getting off topic are the students' questions that are off topic to begin with!I learned tons and have a greater appreciation for this politics stuff

Dr. Henderson is an amazing professor. He is extremely knowledgable and presents all material in a clear manner. He is open 2 in-class discussions. He is also the nicest man ever and is always ready to help students! Extremely engaging and presents material outside of the text which keeps it interesting.. would DEFINITELY recommend to everyone!

Boring, gets off topic A LOT. Demands WAY TOO MUCH from his students. If you take his class, you will find youself teaching yourself the material. However, he knows A LOT about surrounding information, but it is usually pointless to the topic.
