Phil is great! He knows what he's talking about b/c he's actually been in the field for a long time. Come to class and participate in discussions. He doesn't ask for too much, just put time into your projects. He teaches you things that are important if you want to be successful! He isn't kidding when he says he grades on participation daily!

Like taking a class with your grandpa. Friendly, knowledgeable, and intellectually quick. Will repeat himself and does not closely follow book. Prefers to use real world stories to explain material. Some peers found him boring, but if you prepare for the ramblings for an old man with experience, then you will enjoy it.

Took this class fall semester night class. I think if you are considering advertising as a career, then this is a great class for you. Read ad age every week, and share the article you read with the class. Tests are open book, open note, unlimited time and the first half is take home. Get some classmates and do it together.

Funny guy, great personality, very reasonable. If you couldnt turn something in on time or couldnt be in class he worked it out with you, very fair. Covers a great deal of material and actually relates it to the real world. Great marketing teacher, had experience in the real world. I strongly recommend taking marketing or advertising with Phil

binders upon binders filled with useless material. Never covered the last two chapters, yet were on the exam eventhough he said they wouldnt be on it. Dreaded going to this class everyday. Stay clear for a J-term class.

Easy class, I deserved a better grade than I got. His tests are very difficult as he doesn't cover any of the pertinant material in class, you have to learn that yourself reading the text. Class presentations are fun, we could drink in class, nice!
