Phil is the type of professor that you can tell his interest in photography has shaped his entire life. He's usually serious but isn't afraid to have a laugh over something, and I learned something new from him about photographic processes every time our class met. I wish he had encouraged me to push my work a bit more but that's my only complaint.

I had Phil years ago at Winthrop and he was a man who knew what he was talking about. Not one for getting personal, all business. I learned a lot about the technical aspects of photography and took a photo history course that was very informative as well-the book is a great resource still. Great guy overall he's from Scottland not England btw.

Phil is my advisor and has been since I came in three years ago. He def. has his own thing going on and stealing his time for comments is def. hard but I've never learned more about the technical aspect of photography than I did from him. His done any situation you would like to shoot and can spin some very interesting ideas your way.

Moody is the man.He always helped me and guided me in my creative methods. Art is90% perspiration and %10 inspiration, you work hard to get what you want. A teacher isn't supposed to do it for yah. He is an awesome teacher, disregard the earlier faux comments!!

this guy sucks. he needs to move back to England because the US is not ready for him yet. very unwilling to help students, if you aren't very creatice (ie non art major) then he made you feel stupid and inadequate. this prof gets and F from me.
