Professor Lavner is a great teacher. He gives lots of homework and makes you work hard. My advice is study often for his course. Don't wait till the last minute. When you finish his course you'll know plenty of Spanish. Watch out for accent marks and Spanish spelling.

Take Dan if you are willing to put in the work. Hew tries to make the class as fun as possible. He will help you if you ask and you will get an A if you do everything that he asks. It is that simple. He is particular with certain things but I thought that he was linient grader.

I had some concern about taking a language in college. It had been 10 years since I took German; much different than Spanish. Prof Dan made the learning process fun and inviting. I enjoyed coming to class and liked listening to him. Quizzes and tests weren't too bad, I got an A! I recommend his class to anyone who wants to learn Spanish!

He is an awesome teacher! He does all he can to get you the A. He wants you to know how to express yourself in Spanish verbally but he guides you every step of the way. Participate in class and know vocab & the A+ can be yours. Accent points won't hurt you too much (only 1/2 point in tests and he won't take additional points on the same word).

He is the man. I took him for Spanish 1, and I got an A+ with 100's on tests and midterms. I don't get how people say he is hard. He is a little anal for accent marks but only takes a 1/2 point off if you get one wrong. He gives you a complete outline of what will be on the quizzes, tests, midterms and finals. He is also funny, and really helpful

lavner is the hombre! i loved his class! I didn't do too well in it though- I wish there was more opportunity for better grades: for example: he requires 3 compositions & I took them to the resource center & even had HIM edit them & look them over and I recieved a C on both...He is a really nice guy and I learned a lot from him, all in all take him

I would definatly recommend "dan the man with the master plan" He speaks in english and spanish in class and explains and works on different concepts for a good amount of time. I'd definatly take him again!!

Professor lavner is great. The assignments are pretty easy and his instruction method is one in which you will definitely retain the info. The class was fun. I got an A- in both courses. He is highly recommened.
