Good professor, but taking an online course was interesting. He didn't organize the best, if I read information it wouldn't be easy to find it again. For the final exam, he had three different times estimations in three different places. Otherwise, good structure. Pretty easy if you stayed up to speed with the readings, vids, and lecture notes.

Mr. Pickering is one of the best professors Ive ever had. He is a super nice guy with a great sense of humor, and he goes out of his way to help you if you are struggling or not understanding the material. He even drops your lowest grades for almost everything such as tests, minitabs, and homework. I highly recommend taking his class.

Though I have a hard time with statistics, this professor made it less of a pain. Good attitude, very friendly, knows all his students by name, and I don't almost fall asleep during his lectures.

Professor Pickering took the fear out of statistics. His lectures clearly outline each subject area in a step by step, relatable way. Attending class, I believe, is essential for a high grade in this class. Extra credit is offered often. I would highly recommend this professor.

He is so funny! He also is very interested in getting to know his students and has an amazing memory! He loves talking about his family and gives a fair amount of work. Id say best math teacher I ever had!

Took statistics but can't remember the course number. He teaches this subject very well. My only problem with him was when he would raise his voice very loud to make a point and had very little patience for noise outside the classroom. Besides this, he made stats very easy for me and explained things thoroughly.

Mr. Pickering was an excellent professor and I am not a big fan of math courses but he made his lectures so clear and functional which got students interested about the subject! If I had to take any other math class I would definitely try to take with him! Great job

Direct quotes from Pickering today - "I Design tests so that the class average is in the 70's". "I wouldn't be doing my job if everyone got 100's". His test questions are considerably harder and more confusing than anything you'll encounter in your homework. I don't recommend this class with this professor is you care about your GPA.

Mr. Pickering was a very great teacher. Most of the class days you take notes, but sometimes he will have you do a group problem. The homework was mostly on mymathlab but there was a few minitab assignments, but he gave you specific directions how to complete it. I highly recommend him.

I had Professor Pickering for MAT 137. The class is tough but he takes the time to explain everything in detail and wants every student to succeed. He is more than willing to help you if you are struggling so don't be afraid to ask for help. If you put in the time and effort and study the material you should have no problem passing this class.

I had Pickering for MAT137 and I think hes a great professor. He is tough, but will do everything he can to make sure you understand the material. I choose to take his STATS class next semester and am looking forward to it.

I took Pickering's MAT137 and MAT29 online during the 10week summer session. He's intense and doesn't like teaching online courses. The homework load was overwhelming, but he drops the lowest two scores which was really nice. He writes his exams so that "the average score is a low C." He offers extra credit--do it. Work hard and he'll be lenient.

Fantastic teacher. Absolutely loved his classes and his teaching methods. Describes techniques clearly and doesn't mind spending full class periods making sure everybody understands. Cares about the students. Very funny.

Took this course online and professor Pickering was extremely helpful, even in helping with logging into Mastering. The set-up was easy to understand and allowed for practice until mastery. He explains the concepts well and requires discussion, but it's a wonderful class. Even as terrible at math as I am I did really well and felt like I understood
