She is a little disorganized and tends to go off on tangents sometimes, and even though the class wasn't a cakewalk she picked some pretty good books for this semester and we had some great discussions. She also cares a lot for her students- she is so sweet and understanding when it comes to issues outside of the classroom.

WORST PROF AT WPU!! DO NOT TAKE!! I cannot stress this enough!! I'm a straight A student, went to speak with her in person & she took an instant dislike to me when I told her how important school is to me & purposely made my semester difficult. She's rude, condescending and truly loathes her job. She's miserable and takes it out on us. STAY AWAY!!!

I genuinely enjoyed having Professor Jackson this semester. She is so down to earth and the readings are very interesting. I'm not a fan of literature but she makes it enjoyable. DEFF TAKE HER

Professor Jackson is by far the best professor I have ever had so far. She is extremely understanding, does not give quizzes, kindhearted and super funny! Your grade will be based on three 5-6 page papers &the discussion board questions, plus, she lets you pick what you want to write about on the essays. Definitely TAKE HER IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!

I enjoy online classes because they are independent by nature. I emailed her maybe twice over the course of the semester, both time I got curt and rude responses. Her grading system is illogical; gives vague comments with no constructive criticism. She gives the impression that she couldn't care less about being a teacher. Disappointment.

If you take this class online like I did, please do not mistakenly assume it will be easy. It's a lot of work! 2 responses to readings due throughout the week, plus comments on peers' posts. 3 papers throughout the semester and an annotated bibliography. I urge you to go see her if you're having any issues at all. Tough, but a WONDERFUL professor!

Took this class online. it is a lot of work, but prof Jackson is very helpful. She is the only professor I had that answers her emails within minutes of sending it. She is also helpful whenever a student has a question. Online classes are a lot of work and she will help you if you need it!

I had Prof. Jackson for Eng 150. I didn't have time to go to the writing center, because my semester was so busy, and basically, she will not give you an A if you don't go. I ended up with a B. I'm now an English major with a 4.0.... If you don't mind risking getting below an A then take her, otherwise I wouldn't.

I'm sorry other students had bad experiences, but I loved this professor. The course load is overwhelming, but you will get used to it. Overall, she is very helpful. She helped be become a better writer. And her online class is fine!

Is a pretty nice lady but you have to see things her way. There isn't much room for discussion if you don't agree with her analysis. She is very energetic and can be pretty entertaining at times but the class si the same EXACT thing everyday. She is a pretty hard grader and wants things her way.

She is very energetic, but isn't teacher material. I had to drop her class because her expectations are too high- her class is not the only one I'm taking. She expects you to use the writing center for papers and grades bad if you don't have time to or if you aren't her pet. She is a horrible professor and rude to students she doesn't like.

Great teacher. She is funny and caring teacher. Even though she says "Whatever" alot, deep down she cares. A lot of work, but it all worth it at the end.
