Intimidating course but Phyllis is an excellent instructor and a fountain of knowledge. She really knows her stuff and is eager to share. Lectures are a bit dry but that's to be expected with a law class. She uses real life examples in class regarding the material we are covering so that students can really understand.

Phyllis Barnatt is probably one of the best professors at Niagara College. She is tough on you if you don't care, if you care, she gives all she is able to see that when you graduate you are ready for the world of journalism. She is a knowledgable and informative professor with a great concern for her students and she is an even better person! '96

She's unapproachable and slightly scary. She has a holier-than-thou attitude that puts a lot of us off. I wish she was more interactive with us, rather than sitting in her office holed up while we work our asses off in the lab. Just SMILE for once!

As someone who is supposed to be teaching young reporters about clarity and style, I found this professor to be anything but. Thank goodness there are enough other good profs in this program to carry it well. This is the only outdated apple in the bunch.
