She is the craziest and most interesting Professor I have met. Kind of like that really quirky grandma you have on your mother's side that isn't related to you, but somehow is the one that spoils you the most. Take her class at least once before she retires.

Phyllis is a great teacher. cant find a proffessor or has more expereince or knows more about anthropology. She is scattered but if you read and pay attention you will learn a lot. Overall, one of the best and most caring profs at centre

Not a hard class, and very interesting. A lot of the people in my class would neglect the reading and so had trouble following her lectures. If you did the reading on time, it was fairly easy to sort out what was relevant material and what was simply an interesting aside. A little scattered, but a lot of fun!

She isn't a great teacher. She talks about whatever she wants and then tests over random crap that isn't taught or lectured on. She is not very helpful. She tells you you can write about anything and then criticizes what you write about and is a difficult grader. She acts like it's an easy class but then makes it hard for everyone & doesnt help

One of the coolest people I've ever met. Her class is very interesting, and she always has good stories. I'm not sure how many times I cracked up listening to her tell stories, one of the more humorous being about women's prisons in South America. She knows what she's doing, and I highly recommend taking her class!
