Overall not a HORRIBLE teacher, nice guy, but get ready to teach yourself everything because you never really know if what he's talking about in his lectures is relevant or not. No homework grades which sucks. Tests are challenging, but if you work the problems from the book you'll be fine. I didn't have any trouble understanding his accent.

Very good teacher, accent was no problem. Pay attention in class, do all the homework and extra problems. Tests are straightforward; if you understand the homework well, you'll be fine. A little extra credit. Gives partial credit, so show your work. Only bad thing is he doesn't use canvas, so you have to keep up with assignments and your grades.

Dr. Minc is a great teacher. He teaches most stuff relatively well. At first there is trouble understanding his accent but you quickly get used to it. There are three quizzes and three tests. You have a quiz the week before the test that is a good example of some of the questions that will be on the test. Overall not a bad class or professor.

One of the worst teachers I have ever had. Coming from someone who has made high As through all calculus classes and linear algebra; he has a hard accent and is horrible at writing clearly. Be ready to do all 80 homework problems he assigns because he will test on the hardest ones. If you take him Good Luck!

Dr. Minc is a dinosaur. Has a tough accent at first but you adapt. Talks very slow and his mind is going way faster than he speaks. Easy but tough grading. Will not get points back. He never really explained how anything was applied, just taught how to work problems and did examples. HW not mandatory. 3 quizzes/3 tests plus final. Broke my 4.00.

Dr. Minc is a character. He has an accent, he is the slowest speaking human I've ever met, and his lectures drag. He prepares you well for his quizzes and tests, which are your entire grade. He can come across as being rude or condescending if you ask him a question, but he really means well. He rarely gives back credit, and is a harsh grader.

Super cool dude. Be sure to ask questions if you're lost. If you study and grab the intuitions behind concepts rather than memorize formulas, you will get an A. Never had a problem, good teacher

HAS A DIFFICULT ACCENT. He solves a lot of problems his own way rather than doing what the book does. This takes some getting used to, but once you understand his methods, it's smooth sailing. Quizzes prepare you for tests, which is nice. Initially comes off as a rough class but is relatively easy once you figure his style out.

Takes a long time to do very simple things. Uses the same notation to represent different things, so be aware of that. He is sort of helpful outside of class with understanding the material. He skipped all series approximations and numerical methods when I took it, which was one of the most important take aways for that class. Had to teach myself.

I really enjoyed learning from Professor Minc. He is straight forward with the material and what he will be testing you on. He is accessible outside of class if you don't understand something and will work with you until you do. Take him!

Average teacher. not great. HARD CLASS. Hard tests. Gracious grader. Gives some curves on tests, but no curve at the end. He gave us formula packets for 2/3 tests and got to use on the final. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS- HELPED MY GRADE A LOT. Even though he wouldn't bump my high B to an A. Wouldn't take him, but not bad if you get him.

Minc is a great teacher. He is a very clear and concise lecturer, and tries to thoroughly cover every concept present in his tests. There are no curveballs here, and he's pretty good at interacting with his students. Prior to each test, you'll have a quiz that covers all the essentials for the test. Both are very straightforward and fair.

Clearly knows his subject and is there if you need to ask for help. He has a heavy accent, but it didn't impair my learning. Make an effort and he will be merciful when he grades.

Minc is a very nice guy and has the best curve I've ever seen. But the tests are extremely hard and the only way to prepare for them is the quiz a week before the test which is very similar to the exam. He will help you with code if you go to his office and the final is open book.

Cal II is hard to start with. He does his best, but his instruction isn't always clear. He knows this, and is willing to help after hours. The quizzes are like wake-up calls to tell you you aren't ready for the test, so use them to prepare. VERY merciful grader. Sometimes makes you feel stupid. Last seen holding Diet Coke and saying "Good marning".

I found the textbook to be extremely helpful in Linear Differential Equations. There is a language barrier but he is very approachable and happy to help during his office hours. Best advice for a good grade in this class: go to class and write EVERYTHING down.

His class is pretty simple. Tests and quizzes are multiple choice with two short free responses. His light accent makes class a little boring. The material and slow pace didn't help, either.
